Anyone think its a good idea to use sharp gem on uchigatana? I’m debating it…
Also, I don’t think i’ve progressed ANY npc quest lines, whatever they might be, and I’m as far as the [details=Spoiler]irithyll of boreal valley[/details]. Anyone in the same situation?
Oh yea and btw the only thing i’m dissapointed about so far is the graphics. I think they could have REALLY done a better job at it. Graphically it looks like a step down from bloodborne. Some up close textures look HORRID.

There are times where the texture detail looks worse than DS1 & 2, then there are times where my mind is being blown. It can be inconsistent, but overall, the game is gorgeous.
When I first saw him, for a split second I thought he was a friendly NPC. Then when I got close he turned around and I saw those gleaming red eyes. :shake:
What’s the name of the armor set? I’ll farm that shit tonight if the set is decent.
Lothric Knight set.
In that area you can get: Ember, Lothric Armor Set, Lothric Sword/Shield/Spear/Greatshield
The Blue Lothric Knight can drop a Refined Gem.
I got this in one run from the blue knight,
I was still young then, now I know better after 20 farm runs and a quick google search. Blue chest piece is impossible.
The Lothric Shield is only thing I’ll be holding onto. It’s pretty solid at the beginning of the game and can probably work at at the end game too.
[details=Spoiler]So did a little cooping with Exposed today. Then cooped pretty much the rest of the day with Gasa. Got the Lake below the Catacombs and beat the King of Demons with Gasa and the Knight Slayer. That Knight Slayer dude is almost Tarkus Tier except he invades you once and then returns later to do the job for real lool.
Also defeated the giant skeleton boss with the gold arm rings. That boss wasted me a few times that purple mist is no joke. I made it to the area after him but wssnt able to beat the giant Bloodborne Dog thing that jumps you on the bridge. Gasa told me i need a doll to proceed any farther in that area.
So at this point im kinda stuck, dunno where the hell to go now. Wandered around the Demon ruins for a while and am now taking a break. Will return later. Fucking loving the game so far its amazing. [/details]
P.S. The crab monsters are fucking hilarious, i love them.
if its complete base upgrade gives you an S scaling anyhow wouldn’t that be kind of pointless.

Yea that shield looks beastly… My luck is low as shit but I want that shield so…
I was reading through the guide just now and some of the strategies they give are a bit outrageous. For one area, their advice for taking out a tough enemy is to shoot it with a bunch of arrows from range. Obviously this works, but there is a way that is 100x easier; that combined with how short the guide is makes me wonder a bit just how much time was put in. Still it’s nice to have from a collectors viewpoint though
nothing is easier than killing from a distance. only reason i don’t kill everything like that is because most things can get to you.
Uchigatana is the base katana. it’s closer to being slightly quality than pure dex.
As for it being worth it, just look at the preview and take into account if you’re going quality, dex, or str focused
It takes forever and it’s not viable for every build. Plus, in this case, there is an obvious way the game intended you to face the foe. Cheesing it is fine, but I feel it’s not really the best route to go in this case

i haven’t tried killling right side frist because everyone goes for the left side.
I was helping @crotchpuncha with this boss and we quickly discovered right hand first is a much better way to go
Lol yeah I just did that with someone and it was soooooo easy.
After farming that spot for about 30 minutes, I got helmet, greaves and shield, not the ultra shield I wanted. This will do now though since I wouldn’t even be able to use that shield properly atm
