Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

Yeah, the mud makes everything on that floor hell. Especially since he can fling it at you from across the room.

I am but a lowly thief, so I just ran past him. If he drops an item, tell me what it was lol.

I killed one of the giants, but I died going down to the bottom of the Cathedral and couldn’t get the item, it disappeared when I went back there.

The one in the middle of the room is really easy to cheese. As soon as you enter the Cathedral you’ll see him, and he’ll try to attack you. Just stay on the platform and he’ll keep trying to swat you with a whopping 2 different types of attacks. Immediately after he attacks he’s open to a free hit or two.

It took me a while to cheese him but he gives like 4K souls or so. I wish I knew what the item he dropped was, it bugs me not knowing.

You can cheese him. Make him walk so that he’s just outside of the stairs, and then walk to the top of the first set, he’ll sit down. Walk to the bottom of the stairs, get two slashes in and walk back up, rinse and repeat for the free kill.

one thing i really like is that the hollows and the dogs look REALLY DEAD. like…a corpse that barely has any flesh left on 'em.
comparing to the hollows in past games who just looked like starving sunburnt old farts.

The Giants are pretty easy just jump hack away at their feet and as long as you pay attention and stay under them they can’t do anything. for the second giant take a fire embued weapon, lock off, and do the same while crowd controlling the smaller enemies.

Me trying to wait for a working summon sign in this game:

Yea Gasa and my attempt at Coop didnt go so well. First summoning was fine, but after that his sign wouldnt show up in my world anymore.

Also we tried moving to a different bonfire location (in the same area) and the game moved my bloodstain to the Bonfire i warped to minus about 3k in Souls O.o

I suck Ass at this series, but it’s so fun.

Naw they all work you just gotta be quick. Drop your soul sign and watch how fast you get scooped.

I prolly did co-op 20 times last night and never waited longer than 10 seconds. Most of the time it was damn near instant.

Oh I know, the signs are plentiful near bonfires and boss doors.

The problem is hitting the sign THE SPLIT SECOND it appears on the floor.

Man… they have some pointless shortcuts in this game… Cathedral of the Deep for example. Just finished that place and there’s 2 shortcuts. 1 way you can avoid all combat, and the other you can pretty much avoid all combat too as there’s not much enemies on the way.

I haven’t had an issue with the level design in this game. The areas ain’t wacky like in DSII. Though the NPCs in this game are more kind than any characters I encountered in the soul series. Everyone was an asshole to some degree in the past games.

Speaking of… Is there something like the birth sign ring in DS2 to where you can summon and get summoned by specific people?

Just use passwords.

Remember ol boy in demon souls that would straight merc the whole hub if you let him? Lol

Really useful info in here. No spoilers.

Wow… I’m about to get those free levels.

Also that confirms about invading, its about weapon level.

It’s both. It scales off your highest upgraded weapon and your Soul Level.

If you use a password, anyone can find anyone regardless.

ahh I thought it only scaled the level if you were helping someone out, not if you were invading. That makes sense I suppose, and the top weapons are still going to wreck regardless.

Ive had trouble doing password matches with my friend. We’ve even sent pictures of the passwords and they matched up but we couldnt link up AND we were the same SL (about 15). Anyone have an idea?
