I’m glad there’s a respec option too, I’ve started too many playthroughs and fucked something up along the way so this is nice.
from watching team soul brant play pvp. The backstabs are a lot harder to pull off, parrying seems about the same.
Come on Fromsoft, gimme back my broken great scythe.
Wasn’t there respec in ds2?
Yes, but there wasn’t in Bloodborne, though that may be because it was being developed at the same time
Haven’t played DSI, but I’ve played 42 hours of DSII and reached Harvest Valley. Its getting too stressful and scary to continue further. But I’m excited for DSIII.
If DS2 has you on edge you REALLY need to play through part 1.
Wow really? Of the four games they’ve done in the style, DS2 has really the worst atmosphere. You should see Demon’s Souls or Bloodborne
Personally I like the area where you level up better in ds2 than ds1
that doesn’t make sense because in ds1 you lvl up at bonfires found throughout the world while in ds2 you have to lvl up in majula , because that is where shanalotte is located.
Leveling up on bonfires is quicker so I prefer it.
I hope they make things very convenient like in Dark Souls 2 (for the most part). I liked how you can get a lot of stuff from the shops in Majula, especially towards endgame.
Shops are pretty useful in Majula. I like the aspect of new armor being unlocked as you progressed as well. Its funny, its almost universally agreed upon that DSII is the worst in the series, yet I still play the shit out of it today, these games are just fantastic.
To me DS1 is better for the “experience” and DS2 is better for the gameplay. I’ve put way more time into DS2 than DS1 because I personally enjoy it more. I have been playing DS1 recently though after a long hiatus, I am missing a lot of the stuff from DS2 already but I’m still having fun with it. I really do miss most of the epic boss fights.
On another note I didn’t really have a problem with soul memory when cooping with my friend. I farmed the Giant Lord like 5x and we were still in summoning range thanks to the coop ring. And no I am NOT saying soul memory is better than soul level range as I’m sure it sucks for invasions and stuff.
Soul memory for summoning isn’t all that bad with the ring of gods (or whatever it’s called to change your God sign) it spreads the the level gap so far it’s hard to mess it up.
For pvp soul memory does present problems.
Soul memory creates problems for multiplayer in general because it’s an aspect of your character you can’t necessarily control.
The agape ring was a poor man’s solution to the issue imo. It’d be one thing if you could get it right in Majula even, but you’re gonna have to go through at LEAST 2 bosses before you can even buy it.
I meant that I like it better than fire link shrine
The agape ring and the ring of gods were ways to deal with soul memory, but I’m pretty perplexed as to why the system was added in the first place. Is it supposed to tell experience? Because a lot of soul players have multiple characters. The only real value it has is its cool to see how many souls you actually had but it shouldn’t play any part in how the game plays out for you.
lvling up at bonfires>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Warping back to a hub to lvl up.
So will this run at 30fps on consoles and whatever on PC? have they dropped the specs yet? really prefer my souls on console but if its capped at 30 I may have to bounce.
IIRC the network test was 30fps, just like every one before it. Only exception being the dks2 re-release
