Just fucking remembered this it out today. Can’t wait to pick it up after work. I might, for once, go for a dex build instead of strength. I wanna try the faster weapons…will be a good departure from the *slightly overpowered zweihander from DS1 XD

Got my copy, first boss is definitely the character creation, so many “Yeah maybe I’ll just make the chin a little… Arrghh I’m more grotesque than the fucking monsters now!” moments.
Also spent about 10 minutes pratting around hitting walls in a dead end because I didn’t notice another path thinking one must be a hidden wall or some shit lol.
I’m in. I faced the FIRST TEST.

That motherfucker with the katana. Many a bloodstain led to him. Mine was soon added after. I was close to defeating him.
I’m with a STR/DEX mix. Crossing my fingers this has a stat reset if I fuck up my character.
I beat the first boss and got to mess around Lothric a bit before I stopped. The knights with tower shields in Lothric will fuck you up, they’re fast as shit, and whenever I start to block VS them they guard break me. 
Everything not those Tower shield Knights were easy as hell to deal with though. Edit: The RE4 Las Plagas enemies are serious too if you let them “evolve.”
I just spent like 20 minutes wondering around Firelink trying to figure out where to go, only to realize that the prompt to light the bonfire wasn’t appearing for some reason. Just took a quick restart to fix, kind of weird though.
Liking the game so far though. Looks and feels just like DS1.
Well hopefully ill have some funds left over after pay day to cop this up and man i might double dip on this one for the goodness.
There’s a covenant that worships the blood of dragons apparently, which is probably one of the coolest things a person could do.
Why isnt there “I’m so fucking jealous of you” Button?

I went to the poison swamp too soon on my first run, turns out I missed a whole area
How do I get summoned? Do I need to find a white soapstone-type item first?
[spoiler=]I reached the Undead settlement. I saw a large enemy there that wasn’t hostile. Huge bloody bone saw and carried a cage on his back. You can examine it and your character will get in the cage. I got dropped into a crater and met NPC there. It’s where you can join the Mound-makers Covenant. From the way he described it as a place for hollows to dump the bodies of their victims leads me to believe it’s a PvP Covenant.[/spoiler]

This covenant is pretty godlike. You put your summon sign down (red or white) or invade. Every time you will be a mad purple phantom. If you enter using the white stone, you can choose to be good or bad; you can help the host kill enemies/invaders or attack the host. If you invade, you can kill other invaders or the host. Overall probably my favorite covenant in the game
