I got dropped into a crater and met NPC there. It’s where you can join the Mound-makers Covenant. This covenant is pretty godlike. You put your summon sign down (red or white) or invade. Every time you will be a mad purple phantom. If you enter using the white stone, you can choose to be good or bad; you can help the host kill enemies/invaders or attack the host. If you invade, you can kill other invaders or the host. Overall probably my favorite covenant in the game

It’s extremely fun;the only thing I don’t like is that the summoner can see that your sign is purple and so may be wary of summoning you. I wish they made it completely unsuspecting for the host. Also, you can’t go through the boss fog with the host, probably because people like me would totally help the host, then turn on him as he is about to kill the boss lol

I’m loving the DS1 vibe from this game. There’s the secret passages and optional areas and cool enemy and boss design and amazing line delivery, etc. etc. 5 and a half hours in, I’m excited to keep playing this next weekend.

1080p everything off/low on a 660GTX nets me between 40-60, I do however think the game is poorly optimized regardless. Some statistics have shown it’s struggling on stronger rigs too, I can pull up the tests if anyone wants a quick look.

@ The Martian Yes sir we are. Im playing now and loving almost everything i see (one thing already irritates the shit out out me tho lol). It feels like, looks like, and plays like Dark Souls. Im hype. Im also hype cuz i got the first boss in one shot haha.

Yeah, I hate the Las Plagas enemies. Fire is effective though.

Has anyone gone back to fight the ice dog thing in the starter area? I’m wondering how strong I have to be before I attempt to fight it.

I went back to fight it when I got to level 25. It’s an easy fight and you get a titanite shard for your trouble.

It’s having to warp back to Firelink Shrine and talk to the Maiden to level up. That shit annoys the fuck out of me. I didn’t like it in Demon’s, I didn’t like it in DSII, I didn’t like it in Bloodborne and I highly doubt this game will change my mind. It’s a minor thing in the long run and not a real big deal or anything, but having to sit through two loading screens to level up and get back to the game fucking pisses me off, especially after Dark Souls 1 fixed this fucking problem 3 games ago.

I went to EBgames(Canada’s Gamestop) and picked up Dark Souls III. Shit comes to almost a 100 bucks with the way the game prices are in Canada. Now I get back out to the car, look at the game, and realize it’s not the Day 1 Edition. I went back in to ask if they could swap it out for a Day One Edition and they were sold out, so I returned it and am gonna try my luck at Wal-Mart and Best Buy tomorrow. Rekt

Game is garbage on PC ATM, people with rigs better than mine are getting shittier performance than I do. Even if you lower settings…IT DOESN’T POSITIVELY AFFECT PERFORMANCE AT ALL.

I refunded that shit. Don’t forget the stupid fucking Xbox pad button prompts(just like the other Souls games on PC) when you don’t even have a fucking pad connected. Had to use my Dual Shock 3 to even be able to do anything.

Boom. FPS is all over the place on top of glitches and crashes.

The only reason this game isn’t getting completely shit on on Steam like SFV did is because it’s a Souls game.

First time in a while I’ve been 100% pleased with a collector’s edition statue looks nice and is pretty sturdy and the art book is A4 hardback and really nice quality. Even though it was expensive I’m really glad I got it.
