I’m not trolling. Didn’t give a fuck about this game series until this third game. It actually looks pretty cool so I’m looking up stuff on it to get a basic understanding. Don’t have the time or patience to go back and slog through games I don’t give a shit about when I could just google what I need to know, since people here won’t give me an answer besides “go play the game, you’re missing out.” I’m not missing out on shit, not when I’ve played the GOAT action game. Granted, Souls is an RPG and a little different than DmC, but meh 
Not sure why this game would appeal to you if the others don’t. If someone didn’t tell me it was a sequel I would have thought that it was dark souls 1 with slightly upgraded graphics.
Probably the only person that wishes they would have made the actual classes more distinct. Personally I am tired of the whole generic class that’s only difference is starting gear and stats, that is not a class, a real class has unique features that can’t be replicated by gear. Hopefully someone will do that in a different game that plays similar to this and Dragons Dogma.
My big issue with the other games was the darkness and lack of color. Reminds me of that Batman vs Superman movie that just came out. People say there is more color but I should keep playing before I see it. Not going to suffer through a game that is so displeasing to look at that it’s jarring, for several hours, just to get to see some color. I’ve been watching streams and clips of DS3 and that shit looks hell of a lot more colorful and vibrant than the other 2 games. Some dude was in a lush green forest with nice looking water getting jumped by giant crabs and their little babies and that shit looked raw as fuck. That shit got me interested enough to start looking shit on the previous games up, but that’s not enough for people in this thread, apparently.

Dark Souls has a bunch of different areas, if you would have said Bloodborne I would have agreed with it being mostly dark, but that was that games theme.

Got as far as Blighttown, killed Quelag, rung the bell, and just forgot about the game. Whenever I did remember the game, I just remembered what a boring slog it was and how it hurt my eyes playing that shit. Would you go back to play a game that you didn’t care for and looked like shit to you after giving it a fair shake and ultimately forgetting about it? Fuck outta here with that noise.

Saying the game did not appeal to me visually is every bit as good of a reason as “it wasn’t holding my attention.” I stopped playing because the game looked like shit. Don’t even know why this shit blew up. I originally just came in to say DS3 looks great and that’s what should matter to you as a stan anyway. I don’t know what details I know are from DS1, DS2, or DS3 so I’m not going to risk spoiling for people. Maybe I’ll just spoiler tag my stuff but Vanilla has been wonky with spoilers in the past. Meh
“It looks like shit” and “it has no colors” are two totally different statements because ill agree with you for the most part DS1 isnt a pretty game, especially in the begining when they where aiming for dirty, dark, dingy and depressing. But “it has no color” is flat out wrong, thats why im on you about it.
It would be like me saying Xenoblade Chronicles has shit combat even tho i only made it to lvl 10 or whatever. Do i really have the right to say the combat is shit when ive seen barely a fraction of it? “FFXIV has garbage content tho i only made it lvl 15.”
