But hes got such a pretty smile…
wow more say from ducvader…when did I say pull a genghis I want the exact post…you lying piece of shit. You stole all of srk’s money with studiotraffic and you want people to believe you…keep talking shit son…or go fight motoro hahahahah your just scard to play me at evo…scrub
With people like Hillary Clinton, Joe Lieberman, Jack Thompson, and Dr.Phil riding the “video games -> violence” cock-wagon, I think banning DP was justified and that Mike Chaos should be banned as well.
They need to take this as a lesson and learn how to behave.
Where I live, if you were to talk like they did in that first interview before the cl0ck matches, they would’nt walk out of school alive the next day.
The whole DP thing did bring a lot of attention back to the fighting game community, but it’s not the kind of attention the fighting game community needs.
Ok I take that “pulled a genghis” phrase back although its something you did do and not say - the post I was referring to was
So you basically said something about the knife/ genghis ordeal and then threaten more violence to someone on the boards which ended up getting you banned from EVO.
I think you should be able to go to evo as long as you can keep a level head and it was looking like that until you went overboard on friday.
Good job on fucking up your evo… you did do this to yourself.
Duc
I could care less…Im just sick of my words getting twisted…I mentioned that they kept talking about that incident on the radio.Kinda like when Mike Chaos said you better come strapped and it gets turned into hes coming strapped hahahah what a load of crap…fucking up my evo.its a video game I use to gamble I can go play blackjack with the poly team instead hahaha gg
Because that doesn’t imply anything at all, right? Get serious.
I don’t know who button_mash is, but he seams to know everything
I second that.
DPC isn’t the first guy who has talked smack or physically threatened people. He just made funny videos to hype his matches at Evo.
A lot of top players think DPC is a big fish, so let them make (or try to make) money off of his sponsors.
I really don’t care if he ends up going to Evo or not. Everyone directly involved with his large sum money matches is more than welcome to come to Vegas and play out the planned matches. I don’t see DPC placing high anyway, so it shouldn’t matter if he’s allowed into the event. At least handle your business because there are interested parties outside of random spectators that still want to see things go down as planned.
really? at all? so suggesting at bringing a gun, having threats made at wigfall, blaze, and sanford isnt threating?
maybe the directors felt that DPC at evo could be a threat to DPC as well, i mean his ass was saved at final round, and how many people want a piece of DPC for all the shit hes been saying with war declared on the east coast.
Im not trying to sound arrogant but im interest, to all the people who said that threats or violence isnt new can you guys point me to examples of tourneys where said threats were made? only one mentioned was the DSP
one.
as for the me knowing everything comment, forgive me for actually reading threads and getting sick of so much wrong info being drop :arazz::lol:
It pretty clear that “Ratio1BeatDown” was suggesting that DPC is all talk and won’t actually do anything. Not that what he did wasn’t actual “threats” but more of he just full of shit.
Come on. Banning him is yet another backstabbing on the Marvel community. Sometimes I feel Wizard and the others have a secret plan to sabotage Marvel or whatever.
Easy fix. Hire ONE security guy to be with Dark Prince at all times, if DP agrees to pay for the security guy. DP can go to Evo (he will pay like 50 extra bucks for the Evo staff to hire the extra security guy, but he always says that money is no problema to him), all the money matches can happen and event will be hyped again. MvC2 is, again, the hope of a great Evo, and if you ban DP you’re getting 80% of the hype out.
More than this, there were gazillion threats between gazillion players every Evo. I think DP is the worthless piece of sh*t in the community. Yet, its elitist o ban him when there are so many easy solutions for it (asides from the fact that the 40 pounds kid is not doing anything).
Mike Chaos made many more threats and nobody bothered to ban him. And he is completely useless for the community, asides from the fact that some people may want to see Raishinken submit him or some other sidebet at the hotel…
Heck, Mike Watson almost got into a fight with Eddie Lee in the US vs Japan tourney (!!!), Sanford wants it with Bill, DXP wanted everybody, even Viscant was faking to be a physical threat a while ago.
If you start doing preemptive strikes against players that may or may not be agressive one day Evo will lose a significant portion of its top players. This is clearly personal and everybody knows it. If Evo cared so much about keeping things into the law, we would not have Soo vs Wong in 2003, because Soo (and half of Cali) were smoking too much weed…
That’s what I am talking about. This may be the single best money match ever at Evo. It may represent a huge boost in DVD sales (especially if DVDs are released soon, like they should). IMO its much better than Duc vs Sanford (what could Duc do?) or those 15 second moments Soo vs Wong or Daigo vs Wong, but now we will lose it all because the 40 pound guy is “too dangerous”.
Maybe some people will have fun watching a couple 40 year old guys playing ST on Cigar Bob’s machine, or watching Wong kicking people’s ass in games he does not play for the 40th time, but IMO this is not enough and you guys better start giving people what they want to become the real World Tournament. Each little personal thing like this makes it easier for those fanboys to say that SBO promotional bullshit is the real worldwide tourney of the world…
I believe Evo is the coolest thing in the videogame world, but teher are always choices that can make the event much better, or much worse.
Edit: If DPC threats somebody again, just call the cops. Chatting at the police station easily calm those kids down. But counting all the cool money matches you guys have one opportunity to get at least some other 'Evo Moment 37" (yeah right). Right now you had Wong vs Soo, Wong vs Daigo and Sanford vs Duc, not much for 7 years of videogame competitions
security isnt cheap. its something like 75 bucks an hour. not even kidding. and for someone to get this “special treatment” seems a bit ridiculous. we have had 0 blood shed since evo and B series tournies started. there has been a lot of drama, but no weapons and no blows were ever thrown at any of these tournies. i think dpc just needs to lay low and let the smoke blow over, then we will just realize he was caught up in the moment while under a scope. people are always young and naive, not that it should be forgiven or forgotten, just i think nothing has taken place at this point and i doubt anything will. let the smoke clear.
Agreed.
The security idea would be the last resort. The best scenario is for DPC to chill and the Evo guys to allow him the entrance and a lot of big screen time for MMs. This is best for business, players and DPC as well.
If DPC keeps being an asshole, this is an option that can be pursued, and he will pay for it all, if he wants to play. Maybe he wants to get banned, so he will be able to avoid losing thousands and thousands of dollars, which would be reaaaly anticlimatic. I hope not though
I agree 100%! Fighting games are Fighting games. Physical fighting/violence belong somewhere else. It’s just common sense.
Also DPC aint the only thing goin on @ evo anyways wtf is the fuzz? Every year there’s no DPC drama and shit and the show goes on fine… wtf? good move SRK!!
That’s pretty much the meat of the whole Evo sandwich for me. Not even the Grand Finals could top that ish!:bgrin:
people are paying way too much attention to him…
he pulled a knife on ghengis knowing he’s not gon do anything back and he knows it, he’s smaller than him, if he wanted to hurt him, he woulda fought him without the knife… the knife was just for people to think “oh shit, he pulled a knife on him”…
he’s all talk, 99% of ppl who play marvel and claim they gangstas is all talk
if he’s a gangsta, why didn’t he do anything when jwigfall fronted him…
no gangstas play mvc2
there’s always gon be ppl who talk alot of shit
banning him was unncessasary
with all the hype going down with his MM at evo, it was a bad move
i understand where the sponsors are coming from and all but no one is gon get shanked… if he shanks someone, he’s gon be in jail for how long? for a marvel game? come on, the only reason people are shooked is cause most people who play marvel are nerds… him saying $3000 is nothing is a lie too, i know he was crying deep down inside when he lost… man, if he was pushing, and makes $3000 that easily, he wouldn’t be spending his time playing marvel and having money matches… think about it… you’re telling me a real gangsta who thinks of $3000 as pocket change from pushing plays marvel?
come on now, name one real g that makes a video clips and doing the shit they do, it’s all talk but its entertaining, im not gon lie
i refrained and took it outside
Some truth here… “gangstas” aren’t going to sit around all day and play a 2d fighting game until they can get massive Sentinel combos and ROM infinites.
DPC deserved his ban. Adam had a good point, but still… regardless of the money matches and the ability to pat him down, his lack of professionalism throughout the ordeal could cost Evo sponsors. The hype he brought has certainly been refreshing, and he will be remembered for a great deal of time to come. But… he’s gonna have to keep his negativity to YouTube and private tourneys/homes now. Enough is enough. I’m sure DPC can still MM Wong at some nearby hotel/house where other attendees are staying. And be released on Youtube/Preppy’s site/wherever for all to see LONG before the Evo DVD’s are finished.
