This is my first Dante Combo that i’m proud of.
If you can stinger bold cancel teleport, then you should be able to do Dante’s bold cancel BnB. The beginning part of the combo scales pretty heavily because of the cr.H.
Can you make a video or a combo sheet on a couple of dante’s BnBs?
I would like to, but I’m going to be pretty busy this entire weekend
There are some videos here that show a couple of Bold Cancel BnB’s. Also, you can just check the the Dante Combo Thread for notations of his BnB.
;D Enjoy, more to come

From what I can tell:
hammer, volcano jS, drones, crystal, jS, hammer, vajra, volcano, jump cancelled volcano, beehive, 44S, 2 shots, stinger, bc, skydance (whiff last hit), acid rain, volcano, jS, volcano, beehive, million dollar.
99% correct; the strider part is “Call Vajra, Volcano xx JC Volcano, Vajra hits, xx JC Volcano~Beehive”.
it took my like 45 minutes to replicate that combo because that vajra timing confused me at first and i kept getting beehive instead of the third volcano.im going to steal it but make it my own with my team
Whens the video going to be done I wanna see some increase my damage output with dante
My Dante is horrendous (Hence the title) but I was hoping I could get some advice on the Ghost Rider match up. I have a lot of trouble with that character at the moment since Im new to Dante and primarily play other rush down characters.

Havent watched your video yet, but whenever I play against GR I just try to outplay him. Basically, you have to know his range since the only projectile he has is Judgement Strike. What I do is try to keep my distance and stay out of his anti-air range while spamming air play. If he jumps and Dante is on the ground, position Dante so that his (GR’s) jS will miss (which is what he’s going to use 99% of the time) and dash under him for a quick cross-up. If he blocks, just end your block string with Reverb xx Fireworks or Bold Cancel, dash forward then do a Hammer. If Dante is in the air when GR jumps, charge Air Play for a bit before firing to give it some extra oomph/hits while also making it bigger and harder to avoid.
Do you play online? I would find a good GR player and just do some matches to figure out a good general strategy.
I pretty much spam airplay until he gets around mid range where he can be annoying. Idk why but I lose alot of momentum if and when GR finally gets a hit, god forbid Im in the corner. I guess it’s more of an issue of leveling my defense.
Conterpick with strider assist, that’s my advice. I play vergil dante mags, but if i have to face certain matchups (particularly zero, ghost rider, trish, morrigan) i switch mags out for strider, which makes it A LOT easier…
For a new Dante player it looks like you are playing him just fine to me, ghost rider shouldn’t be a problem though, Dante can easily out lame him, I also noticed you tried to take on a level 3 X-factor nemesis, should have just played keep away.
Because of Dantes combo and meter building potential, a lot of Dante players seem to forget how big, how ANNOYING, and how effective Dantes cheese factor really is(so do our opponents). don’t be afraid to fill the screen with all sorts of BS to condition your opponent into blocking, that way you can throw them off as you switch up from laming out to rushing down and mix them up really bad! or just to simply chip them out, or to run out their X-factor or the clock. the best Dante players in my opinion are the ones that are as strong at being a cheeser as they are at rushing down and mixing up.
I liked how you managed to get around the hawkeye keep away, it sucks you donked the hit confirm though lol, but overall your dante is just fine, your match up knowledge will come with time as you play online, always remember don’t be afraid to pull out that good old Dante swiss CHEESE when needed. it will help you to learn the perfect times to rush down and keep away, and increase your game ten fold.
Didn’t watch the video, but I’m going to assume you’re playing online, and if you’re playing GR online, 99.9% of the time you can just sit there and teleport when he jumps because all he’ll do is J.S.
Just by looking at the screenshot of the video, it’s obvious that it’s offline
Online displays the players ranks underneath the health bars.
Need advice on how to improve my Dante (and any of my other characters too). I feel I’m the weakest with him at the moment and want to try to achieve a better balance between my team.

Reverb Shock, Yipes is using it right.
@Giovanni: IMO, I feel like you should be using a different team order. Trish just isn’t the type of character to throw on point because she’s not an exceptional battery, and at the same time she won’t be tearing through entire teams with a series of mix ups and set ups. She’s definitely more of a sit back, and keep putting stuff on the screen until you get the chance to do some real damage which is more effective when you don’t have a full rushdown team to fight against because Dante and Vergil just don’t provide any real defense.
When playing Dante you really need to be able to spot when you have the opportunity to rush, and when you just need to sit back and be content to zone. Most of the time, you’re going to be sitting back and zoning, so you really want to fill the screen with as much stuff as possible. Air Play, Hysteric, Drive and assists are all great for putting a bunch of shit on the screen to limit your opponent’s options.
Also, try to avoid going for really long Dante combos when you’re in X-Factor. If used correctly, you can get 2 dead characters off of your X-Factor instead of just the one.
