How practical are the gun loop combos now? I’m sure you have to adjust to compensate for the lack of float.
i dont know if any body figured this out already but dante can AD back or forward several times in fly mode and instant double air dash back or forward (no not back and forward but back as many times as you want back or forward its just hard to do.)
How are you guys landing the SkyDance after bold cancel? Everytime I do it, they end up on the other side so i get the whiffed ground bounce.
Best way is to do only two shots of Cold Shower

I need help. I cant figure out what im doing wrong exactly besides messing up combos. Can you guys give me some feedback? thx in advance.
First match: you shoulda called assists more. Not sure how Strider works against Chris but maybe it would of stopped him from jumping.
Second match: always watch out for SeXy-23 on the ground. Her Neck Slice left her at an advantage in frames in Vanilla (IIRC) but in this it’s only -1 on block. The guide says you can throw her after blocking it but I would be careful about who you do it with (Dante’s sH is really slow and unsafe if you miss it, but you could probably BC and get an air throw). But then you have to worry about her canceling a block string into Decapitating Slice which is her ranged command throw. Lastly, always remember her supers all give her some invincibility.
Third match: Not much to say except that 90% of the time, dont just follow Chris into the corner. His Flamethrower and Proximity mine give him an advantage. Maybe try a bit of spamming projectiles while calling Strider to keep him low to the ground?
Thanks, I’d run Team DMC a lot more if I knew what the hell I was doing with Trish.
Also do you have any advice that i can use to improve my Dante Specifically?
Well my Dante isnt great but we do use different ways of getting in. For example, at the right distance, Drive is a good move to cover his teleport. Stinger BC Reverb Shock xx Fireworks is still a great poke and if the opponent calls out an assist and werent expecting you to attack from nearly 3/4ths of the screen away, the assist is probably gonna die if you do MD and DHC into someone else. Also, since wave dashing is done by pressing down, if timed correctly, you can wavedash into Air Trick if the opponent is used to you wavedashing in. The timing is weird but it was able to be done in Vanilla.
thx man

Some matches I had on Honzo Gonzo’s stream yesterday. Dante was probably the MvP here, so I figured I’d put 'em up. There are some pretty serious luls, and some trollface smacktalk.
Thoughts or comments on the gameplay? I have a general hard time with zoning, IMO, particularly with Sent/Frank, but that may just be on account of them being Sent/Frank. I did realize, just glancing over the matches, that I really need to get in the habit of throwing out more Stinger BC Reverbs, but what else should I be considering?
Should I just forgo the meter that I usually use on MD -> Wiff Frank -> L5, and burn Devil Trigger to win the zone war?

I noticed all the double-acid-rains you did were on Sentinel.
I know in Vanilla, because of the RNG that changed how the rain fell, it could get pretty damned inconsistent if you were counting on the Rain part of Acid Rain for anything. For example, sometimes the rain would hit too early and the sS would wiff, making the combo fail… or if you were counting on the rain hitting early, sometimes it would hit too late, etc.
Do the double-acid-rain setups work 100%? I’ve always had my doubts.
So, the Acid Rain setup I’ve been using… which is 100% consistent… is…
Corner: BC Volcano, jH airplay jH, land, sMH3HH Prop, TK Acid Rain, jMS.
The jM hits after the orbs going up and before the rain, and keeps them in place for the slightly variable rain timing, then the jS brings them down, etc.
dante is the reason why I love marvel. even the person getting combo enjoys it,
I did double acid rains on Wolvie at about 1:17 and also against Frank West

Pretty sure it works midscreen as well. Acid Rain hits consistently it’s just timing and spacing dependent. But if they are too high up for sS, you can jump and do a Hammer like I did against Frank. If they are too low to the ground, sometimes you can just do Volcano xx jS.
