No, stop right there. Believe it.
Welcome to Earth.
right, rabble…
hit a familiar nerve there with you too eh quasi?
there’s no other reason it is banned in China
give me one reason, dig it up, call capcom, call ur gf daigo in japan who’s game you feel is the world’s best
call them all up … find one reason… there isnt one… either its anti-chinese, or self-ego-preservation.
now run along and dig up some mythical reason theres not a single SSF4 for sale anywhere in China
i have to disagree here.
I choose U1 against Balrog, Gief, Chun and everyone except for The Twins, Feilong & often Cody, and also often Juri… and whenever i just want to play around with it
you are forgetting the most important part of U1, its not replaced by U2, and U2 cant do everything U1 can do… there are 3 main uses for U1 that cannot be replaced by U2
1.a jumping in opponent when you are in the corner, where other times your U2 would be blocked, U1 freezes them mid air and shreds them up, best suited for Balrog
i cant tell you how many times someone has thrown out an ultra on me while i’m already on my way to the wall for U1
3.its forward EX U1 is also not immediate, and works as a special until he hits the wall, making it a great wake up that actually hits, where as the U2 would freeze gameplay and the opponent would just block, aside from wakeup potential, it works as well as any other FBA strike. i punish alot ground rushdowns with this one, though its not a go to ultra because its easily stuffed which can kill you
U2 is only specifically useful against people vega cannot get away from, without U2 vega would not even be playable against the twins, feilong or cody… and its a great wake up for the times when you U1 would be stuffed, which is especially those 4 characters, with their dive kicks, sweeps, pokes, etc…
other than that, i by far prefer U1 for its invisible startup,
i do use it on occasion for some adons - adons vary greatly in play style, he can be pretty relentless as well… you basically need U2 for anyone who is more relentless than Ryu, Ken, or Akuma are
but i would not choose U2 for Rufus, as the airthrow works great against his dive spams, and U1 always catches him doing some stupid special on the other side of he screen
i also choose U1 for Sakura & Cammy as well…
i also found U2 occasionally useful for Dudleys
holy fuck… was going to write a serious response but mao zedong over here is pretty much impossible to take seriously
i’m glad to hear your constant backslashing and inane choice of ultra 1 is allowing you to beat the world’s best sf players
so wanting SF4 in China and asking why all the secrecy and oppression and lies makes me a mass murderer?
it might… it just might…
so… im to assume you believe we dont have SF here because of the political system you hate so much?
think again.
U1 is far superior to U2 except for the the above mentioned 4, U1 has always been awesome, since vanilla… U2 simply gave vega a way to cope with the twins, cody, & feilong… if those 4 hadnt been introduced, U2 woldnt be what it is…
U1 was also improved drastically, making it twice the ultra U2 is, Splendid boy…
i called you mao zedong cause you’re an over-patriotic goof
edit: if you want to talk seriously maybe you should find a way to more delicately validate your own apparent ability as a player
nobody cares who you play, because judging by the advice you gave, they are CLEARLY not amazing players
you are kidding yourself…
im american, not Chinese, wanting fairness is normalcy, wanting anything less is lunacy… im in the first group, you are obviously in the second
i think i must be actually higher level than you probably have ever played at all
and its all you can really say, or anyone like you, talk all the smack you like, so long as China doesnt play, we’ll just pretend you really have a clue as to what a champion actually is…
again, post your ken match up, i wont even bother reading it, you arent going to beat the Flowchart Kens I beat. pretend all you want… nobody in China counts anyway…
and go tell me why there isnt any SF4 in China…
whats really more likely, that a genuine online game is not suitable for China, home of the majority of the worlds millionaires and money, because “piracy” is a concern when playing online games needing valid serial numbers
or that Japan and America want to control the game by limiting the competition, or rather a few players in those two countries, who dont want to see their name disappear into obscurity as they surely would if the 1.3 billion talent pool in China was tapped
let’s get this straight
and we’re supposed to trust you.
no man you’re just some pretentious headcase posting on a forum, nobody’s heard of you, your friends, your scene, and apparently it has something to do with Japan and America teaming up and conspiring against China (Only with regards to video game players, because that isn’t really true, is it)
anyway, this discussion is retarded, if you want to talk games, we can talk games, but only after you drop this inane attitude
if you’re from such a dedicated, powerful community, why don’t you prove it with your words instead of being a dick
cause all i hear is “I beat some guys i play with using a bunch of shitty vega tactics everyone grew out of a year ago, AMA”
lets ty it again, jozdeaf
lol, are you fucking serious
it’s around here somewhere, you can look for it
the FUCK are you talking about?
Bro you are getting trolled hard, either that or he doesn’t pay attention. Whatever the case it’s best to leave him be.
Yeah, I agree
I was just at work and had nothing better to do to pass the time, lol.
takes you back doesn’t it Joz.
BTW, you played Snake Eyez Zangief? I’ve played him on numerous occasions, well last year when I went to local events. BUt yeah the guy is definitely an issue if you let him be an issue.
I should play this game again.
yeah, I’ve played snake eyes something like 5 times now.
his zangief is godlike…
He takes the matchup to pretty high levels too. I was totally surprised by how well he knew the matchup.
when i first played him, i was like pshh, no problem. 3 rounds later and I was fuck. The man’s ability to simply sit there and force you to come to him is incredible. Im usually comfortable with not having the life advantage, but fuck man, this guy just put me out of my comfort zone. I do wonder where he did get the Vega experience. When I first played him, he told me he really didn’t play that match up often.
Godlike Zangief? I wish to face him one day! XD
Hey every1.
Here’s the deal, I had the same problem wit gief. Funny part was is I kne not to let him jump in at all cost but his air normals are perfect for him. Its like when u try to jus back up, that jxhp always like touch my shoe string and its like free rape time. I played a really good gief tbhats used st. Mp the entire time behind everything so if I tried anythng other then block, I got slapped and wen I finnaly did I got grabbed. His mind games were mostly on reaction but I found nothin works against him.
I do a great job zoning, footsies and keepin him out but that one lariet that smashes my ch or luckily counter hit my poke whentryin to hit him while lariet(horrible timing I guess). The only option I see is to stxhk and take the trade and prey he won’t try again which I find a bad idea. What is relieble against the beast of a char.
My basic strategy with Gief is to zone him out all day with st.mk. Walk back and forth and occasionally throw out a st.mk at max range. When he attempts the jump in cr.HP will take care of all that nonsense, but only at max range. Anything closer than max rage st.mk and your cr.HP will whiff completely or get beat cleanly by his jump-in attack. I really don’t fuck with cr.mk too much in this match, I’ve literally been pile driven out of a max range cr.mk, where it looked like he grabbed the shadow of Vega’s toe.
Once I’ve got that down I’ll occasionally mix in a jump-back HP with the st.mk, as a warning to not throw out that green fist, because jump-back HP will beat it. After that it’s all a matter of patience, it’s possible to beat Gief without using a single special move, but if you give him an inch he’ll take a mile and destroy you. I find this match fun to play, I feel it’s dead even, kinda like Vega/Makoto.
I’ve played Snake Eyez…and it’s pretty much just how you and Jozhear describe it…I think he is the lamest (very defensive) Zangief I have ever encountered…I usually win all my Gief match-ups but I just couldn’t open him up AT ALL.
