i’m butthurt over something as menial as this? fuck your attitude sucks, much like your advice. jesus christ.
need i say more. dont think so discussion over
it was speculation. I had heard from my brother that it was a Abel specific term and hearing people use it for others I was confused. I asked and you answered, and for some reason thought I was butthurt.
pedoviejo’s a conundrum - he has a sound knowledge of the game, better than a lot of people here, but gets his points across badly.
well the way you asked about it seemed to me well like “wtf are you talking about dumbass” but its my fault for responding in a douchbag of the year winner manner". So yeah next time ill respond and then ask a quetstion as to why you asked in that manner. Any who
Have any of you guys taken any art classes. During the classes the teacher said that “to have dynamic character you got to start with a dynamic pose.” Yesterday i was playing this rufus and noticed that these two combo’s worked.
J.hp, st.hp, cr.mp xx EX FBA and
J.hp, cr.mk, cr.lp, cr.mp xx EX FBA
while it did not work on ryu. So i went to training and started testing out who they worked on and started with Fei, it did not work on him then tried cammy. I was suprised because cammy was smaller, then tried on akuma didnt and then dhalsim to which it did. and i noticed there pose. Cammy and dhalsim have there hands up to here there face is as opposed to ryu, akuma, fei, honda have it at waist level or lower. So these combos which do over 360 damage each work on. the pose of the opposing charcter also explains why cr.mp doesnt hit when it clearly should. This also means that the following list of characters are easier to izuna than the others, and that your pokes wont whiff.
cammy, dhalsim, chun, zangief, guile, sagat, balrog, abel, rufus, viper, rose
on abel the second combo wont hit because of his wierd pose, but remove the light punch and it will land. As for zangief in order for it to work 100 % you have to land a hk because it pushes you away less than hp. Oh and the diffrence between hp and hk is space control. hp controls more space than hk but hk lets you land combo’s like
j.hk - cr.lp - cr.lp - cr.mp xx lp.RCF
On bison the first one hits but its a weird thing, when you input the cr.mp xx EX
FBA there isnt enough time for it to hit him up front. why i dont know but it counts as a crossover. the second one wont hit.

You know, I posted this ages ago I wonder why no one reads it
Combos are not only dependent of the character but also on his position on the screen and whether he’s crouching or not.
Don’t worry Sasaki, I read these, and I love you, no homo.
Which is exactly why I don’t post stuff like that anymore, and don’t ask questions anymore unless I REALLY haven’t seen it yet. :chat:
Why must there be fighting among us? We’re a dyign breed, and we need to stick together. If you need to fight, do it in game =P
ya cmon guys! can we just get back to rufus bashing again! lol
lol i wholeheartedly agree
O_O;
I’m surprised this board isnt dead yet
LONG LIVE THE CLAW !
beauty like this never dies!
What is a wall dive loop?
there seems to be a lot of people having problems with various opponents.
every opponent requires a completely different approach with Vega, you have to take a game which is unique to your opponent, so you must both master your opponents as well as master the moves which counter or are most effective.
Vega takes an extrodinary amount of time and effort and memorization of all tactics for all different players because of his “Apparent” disadvantage, similar to El Fuerte
You may not even use any of the moves you used against one player that you will use on another.
in most instances, Vegas moves must be very specific to the opponent, as opposed toother characters with a dominating style in every match, Vega must be played tactfully and with very expertly.
you can not say “oh I have a great upper cut, spin kick, and fireball and i will beat people up with them” as you do with shotos
you have to think “I have a Scarlet Terror which works under these specifc conditions, against these attacks / opportunties, and against these specific players”
Vega is the Adaptive Enigma, the Ninja, who selects the right tool for the job, and thinks nothing of himself or his abilities.
He has a pecific Skill set capable of vanquishing all Street Fighter Foes
but learning which those will be is entirely up to you.
You will have to spend Time “Re-mastering/ Re-molding” Vega for every Character / Play Style you encounter.
and then you have to remember all of that.
which is the main reason people are so quick to brush Vega off, because of his lack of apparent abilities at first glance
but in fact he has more skills and abilities than any other player in the game, and he is created with all he needs to conquer all would-be opponents in Street Fighter
so if you really want to be a Vega1337, rethink it, you will spend as much time mastering vega as you would take mastering most of the whole rest of the cast of Street Fighter
Okay, so I jumped in against a neutral standing Sagat and air threw him as he tiger uppercutted me for the win.
Most epic moment, ever. Damn I wish I could have saved that as a replay.
Heh Done the same against a blanka vertical throw. Not sure if it’s a move that can be confirmed or I just got lucky with the hitbox etc, but wasa sweet moment nonetheless!
I’m starting to HATE ryu, not because he is a tough math, but because i feel like every character in this game has bugs and notable weakness except the shotos and specially ryu, who took all the love from the developers in form of chains, links, ultra… while we still suffer from the walldive bug.
The first bebop3000 post in the lines i quote was good, but i can only do that if ryu is turtling so i can make him fear my s.mk and then i can sit in front of them with db charge…
…but vs aggressive ryu’s i have a really hard time, and once they score a knockdown or get me in a jumping mk or hk, i lose half life with tick throws, crossups, or stuff, because it seems that nearly all his options are safe so he can continue the pressure until i guess wrong or fail a tech throw.
I don’t understand how you guys deal with shotos, and ryu, but you all must deal with them quite well, because there is little info about fighting him :-m
Stichlink, thank you. We needed that. Well, some of us needed that.
The thing with Ryu from my perspective is that he doesn’t have any fancy gimmicks. He’s just an incredibly solid character that is also incredibly overused, i guess most people learn how to play against shotos by trial and error. That’s not to say Ryu isn’t dangerous, because he sure as hell is.
thats the problem gimmicks dont win matches. he has beyond solid damage abilities, an ultra that easily gives him comeback potential, great mix up game when it comes to crossovers thanks to stupid air tatsu mechanics, some of the best zoning/footsies/space control specials and normals and in this game the more solid you are in every department the better off you are. if you remove ultra’s but keep the super bar and FADC it will go a long way to close the gap between a lot of the character, but it will also make other characters attack options and punishment options less rewarding.
any way Bison that guy i think is Vega’s worst matchup. Rufus figuered it out, Zangief is one of my favorite matches now regardless if i win or lose. Ive been playing this good bison and he is just on top of Vega all the time. his rush down game is hard to escape in the corner, his ambiguous cross ups are hard to react to when spaced right and it doesn’t help that Vega is super tall. his St.rh eats every poke for breakfast i cant cr.mp because its stuffed due to bisons hit box shift, i cant st.mk him because it extends my hit box foward, i cant cr.mk him because it wont reach or he throws out st.mk which also eats all of my pokes because it moves his hit box back then foward so my pokes whiff and he punishes and builds stun real fast. kara throws are hard because he can stuff them due to cr.lk. his block strings allow him to frame trap you easily, and remove your mask and claw super fast. If any body can give me a tip on this matchup please do. am i poking wrong? i can shut down the crossover crap once ultra is there and i can do it with EX meter as well, but his ground game feels to good against vega because of no real reversal, and that is whats killing me. also if i space my self right i can deal some damage, but at that space he can cross over me, out poke me as well, and start some rush down shenanigans as well.
thanx 4 ur help
Figured Rufus out? How? I’ve got him(TongariDan) in the final of the Capcom unity PS3 tournament and he’s apparently one of the best out there…
