Okay some people have been asking for it, so this Friday we are starting an AE Ranbat at Fight Club. FC will start a little later than usual though since I have some work to do, say around 9pm (which is when most people come around anyway). Get a couple of warm-up rounds in and the tournament will start at 10pm. I think the points and payouts will go something like this:
Ranbat Tournament Entry will be $5 with $4 going to the night’s top two finishers and $1 going to the Ranbat Pool
1st - paid 75% earns 10 points
2nd - paid 25% earns 7 points
3rd - earns 5 points
4th - earns 4 points
5th/6th - earns 3 points
7th/8th - earns 2 points
all others get 1 point for donating to the prize pool 
At the end of the season (between 5 and 6 weeks) the Ranbat pool will be divided between the top three point earners: 60/25/15

Not well. Steve and Andre were a team, Blantron was with B Nasty, Joe, now living in Austin, partnered with JDR, and I was with Ryan Ikaru.
Andre and Steve went 1 and 2, losing to two guys I don’t know and Joe’s team. Blantron went 0 and 2 but was a hair from sending Team Utah (the winners) to losers in his first match. Joe and JDR tied for 5’th losing to Jan and Viet twice with a record of 5 and 2.
I was supposed to be partnered with Rudy who got left behind and unable to get to Austin. I had all intentions of playing solo shouting “PACK YOUR BAGS RUDY!” every set I won, but Ryan Harvey forced me to pick a partner. I went with Ryan Ikaru who had actually leveled up tremendously since the last time I played him. That dude was on fire all day. We beat Mark and Deats, then played Hsien and Choi. Ryan beat Choi but we were OCVd by Hsien (which happened in every winning set they had). In losers we beat two teams from San Antonio then lost to Pozerwolf’s Yang. In the end I tied with my protege, UFO Tostito Salsa, for 5’th place, never even getting to play team Utah.
Sad times for the state of Texas when the top two teams are a foreign team and a half foreign team, and the foreign team wins overall. I’m of firm belief, however, had Hsien Chang partnered with Jan, Viet, or myself we would’ve gone to SBO. Oh well, there’s always next year.
