These days, I don’t even parry as much. Especially against players that are super random. But I’ve been winning a lot more games because of it. It’s much more surprising to the other guy when you land a parry once a long time. Not as parry-happy as I used to be. I dunno, just my two cents.
yo nick to get around her SPD kick just wait for it to end then she either has to follow it up with a c.lp or some standing move to go into it against so just option select parry down and c.rh that shit then jump out of corner. chuns c.rh you have to parry forward in the air and blankas slide parry down when you hit the ground.

More Low Parry Strats
I picked this one up from a guy I was playing yesterday. Incidently, he’s the only P-Groove player in his arcade (he’s a 3S player) and I’m the only P-Groove player in mine.
But anyways, he was parrying like crazy and I noticed he was getting low parries like crazy. From what I gather, he parried low whenever someone did a sloppy block string. For example, Sagat’s C.LK, C.LK, C.MK, Low Tiger. I tried it out and I was getting it too. Right after the last C.LK into the C.MK, I’d parry down. And voila.
You read the strings. Some people like doing the same GC string every time … a simple example is cr mk into hadouken. 98 percent of the time I parry it.
I have some videos of me online, but the bandwidth is used for the month, I’ll post the links as soon as the new month starts.

P-Groove counters S-Groove?
I dunno, someone told me this. His reasoning was that since all Dodge Attacks are forward parries. Say you whiffed a move and someone tried to Dodge Attack you, you can just press forward to parry it. Tried it against Dr. B today when he stopped by, but I just got my ass whooped. :lol:

Yes that works. I dunno if its the perfect groove to counter S or whatever. But with the right timing it works. The way you do it is: You bait the sidestep, at the moment you think he’s gonna you hit forward and hold forward. If he tries to hit you parry him and can throw/attack him. If he just stays in sidestep mode you get a free throw on him since you cant tech throw while sidestepping. The only thing s groove can do to stop this is cancel a sidestep attack into a special. But that can be baited…
I’ve told b about this months ago, misconceptn knows this, and SyrPayaso (Anthony from Davis) has known this for over a year. I personally never use this technique cuz its too hard for me to pull off consistantly. Due to the fact that u cant perfectly bait sidesteps (unless their guard is close to gone i guess…) and the timing is insanely hard to keep on track when there’s random sidesteps involved because your readiness gets reduced.
I play against B and miscon often ( B more than miscon) and they’re 2 of the best if not the best 2 s groovers in the bay area and I dont feel like i have a crazy advantage over them with P. The matches dont reflect that neither. We all go back and forth
Ohh fuck no,there is no advantage there,every time I play B it seems like a struggle.You have to be very patient since it;s so easy to get knocked down by s-groove,it jus puts you at square one.But since they can’t actually advance with a sidestep,its best to bait a jump by throwing your longest poke over and over

Especially against RC whores like A-Sakura. Bait an RC Hurricane or Fireball, parry into super that shit. I do it with P-Vega and Red Impact is my best friend.
Oh, and Low Parry > C.MK > Spinning Drive Smasher with Cammy. It’s funny when you catch someone with something like this because it’s the last thing they we’re expecting.
Hm, does anyone agree with me with P-Vega being a some what counter against A-Sakura? At least when he’s not cornered and she’s sitting on some bar. Jump straight up J.RH is pretty good against RCs happy people and PPP Flip when she activates on random is also pretty good.

I dunno about Sakura but vs cammy and blanka im pretty confident. Vega has good tricks to escape customs but besides that i dont think it’s that easy of a fight. Sakura has one main poke when it comes to footies - standing hk. Vega cant beat that to the best of my knowledge. I gotta test it. That dive kick punks on vega pretty badly. And her rc’s up close are of course all bad. What vega can do well is keep that distance with his speed. Get random when she has that custom I guess and stay away.
The vega vs blanka match is all good to me. Vega can out poke him with speed and priority for free pretty much. The rc elec does not work at all against vega on wake up. Besides the obvious super theres the hopback which is invincible. The space it leaves you at gives blanka one option that he cant use if he wanted to - rc cannonball. No charging while doing electricity. RC cannonball gets punished by super or low strong/fierce when blocked. Not gonna bring up what you could do if you parried it. RC elec gets beat by vega’s jumping hp usually after invincibility wears off. So low jump hp (counter hit!)> low lk > super is possible…I think. Empty low jump into low lk > standing lk > roll claw is a combo on blanka. His jump attacks get beat by vegas standing hk clean. I know some of you think it trades. Thats bad timing on your part. Even his slide gets beat by vegas standing mk. Alot of his moves get beat by his standing mk actually.
I could go on (and do some cammy analysis) but the way i wrote this is getting on my own nerves at this point. There’s no continuity in the punctuation, things like capital letters for the same words varying, and the fact that it’s all over the place due to the fact I was adding sentences as i thought of them in between doin other crap for over 30 minutes. Welcome to the world of being anal about unpracticed typing. It makes hella sense mayn!
