Current evaluations of game. Is it even better than the PS2 port?

If I could like this 100 times I would.

OP please don’t forget to mention the fact that it’s really inconvenient that screen names are not kept in the replays. It’s really hard to keep track of everybody’s screen names manually. Also, YouTube upload quality is HORRIBLE.

Visual hit boxes in training mode would be DOPE.

Why would they read these posts? There is so much vitriol, hate and nastiness floating around here that it’s hard to breathe sometimes.

Personally attacking people who worked on the game, being overly pedantic and nit-picky and acting like Ryu’s gym bag not being “arcade perfect” is the end of the world is surely a way to get yourself ignored, and rightfully so.

There are some big issues with 3soe to be sure, and matchmaking is probably the biggest one. Capcom is working to fix it, which is good. The rest of it, the mostly cosmetic stuff, may be patched later, but really, if it isn’t, who cares? (I know, you do).

You clearly don’t play 3S for a long time.
Yes, ryu’s bag is not that important, but sounds and meter bar length are.
Really.

The other cosmetics are just a proof of the amount of work/QA they did. So yes, it’s legit to whine after all they said to sell the game to us, long time 3s players.

From my limited knowledge on 360/PS3 patches that I collected over the internet:
-PS3/360 charge a load of money for patches to developers except for the first patch (this is free or reduced?)
-PS3/360 take 4/6 to approve it
-PC is superior in this area (no one is charging devs there for making the patch and they can immediately release it)

If we don’t mention everything we find and have issues with (matchmaking, offline sounds, new HUD bars visually different than old HUD, arcadelikeness), chances are if it isn’t fixed the first time it’ll never get fixed (look at HDR, only 1 patch even though it clearly needed another 1)

Compared to the stuff people used to do/say back in the older days of SRK…I’d say it’s pretty easy to breathe. I’m not sure why you keep popping your head in a thread that’s “hard to breathe” in any way. You can go over to some SFIV threads where everything is nice and red and green and roses and stuff. Well maybe outside of the fact that they’re whining about rebalances there too.

Why would they read these posts? They only have to read the master post I made really which just includes mostly what we want. They’re supposedly reading our posts any way but this is a way to consolidate everything we’ve been saying in one post at the top of a topic.

Even within the master list the things that are mentioned that need to be fixed are not just cosmetic. The HUD specifically is not just a cosmetic issue considering the meters are different sizes and XBL/PSN notifications get in the way of the meters. The only truly cosmetic things I’ve put in the “not as important” section any way.

You’re acting like there’s a house on fire but it’s just people that want a better game.

capcom has a chance to build even more consumer support here. they’re doing it with that AE rebalance. if they could just show us some support too I think it would go a long way in the end. because certainly then id be telling people capcom stands behind their shit and if its fuckled they’ll try and fix it post release.

it will be a real shame if they just let 3soe go without even giving the people who wanted the game what they want and what they were told they’d get.

Things like the notifications popping up are handled by the system, not the game. Turn off the notifications if they bother you.

I’m not sure why you’d bring up SFIV. Oh wait, now I know. It’s that great SRK elitism that pervades the FG community.

If you think acting like a self-entitled brat will win Capcom over to deliver oodles of patches fixing things that are relatively unimportant, you’re going to be sadly disappointed. Why not send a letter/email to Capcom itself rather than post anonymously on an internet web forum.

One of the mods of the 3S forum at Capcom Unity (who also posts here) sent an email/PM of this thread to Sven @ Capcom. That good enough for you? They only have to read the first post to see what we want any way.

@ the notifications problem…that’s such a little problem that it’s not even listed as something to fix We already get that.

I brought up SFIV just as some place for you to go in general. I don’t even know why you’re posting here. What’s the purpose? You trying to save us from something? What’s it about? It’s obvious you’re having trouble with things but you love sitting your internet lawn chair here and ranting. We’re doing something you’re not doing much anything.

can people just drop the ‘elitist, elitism, elite’ bullshit already?

just because people have differing opinions and feel their game is more fun and more interesting they’re elitist? what the fuck? everyone is elitist then.
if you don’t have an opinion you’re not being honest or you don’t play very much.

It’s the word to fallback on when people have nothing to bring to the table

your avatar looks so delicious. and yeah, you’re right. whens the next nyc ranbat stream thing?

Not sure yet, the only things my brain registers as of late is Diablo III, and 53rd & 6th (the spot my avatar comes from)

I’m not having trouble with things. I like 3sOE. I like SFIV.

I just don’t see the need to whine about some of the stuff that is getting whined about here.

Mainly because those things just simply feel important to people and that’s what it is. I honestly don’t see why you have to complain about it so much. You act like you’ve never been on a message forum before.

Just let things be because you’re the only one that’s having problems outside of issues of the game which D3v and Sven have already received notice of what we’ve posted. We’re all good for the most part considering there’s clear steps being taken to at least get our issues out there since we’re definitely the biggest fans of the game outside of Japan themselves. I’m more worried about you than anything really since you seem to be the only one that’s having problems at this current point in time. We had our problems but now you’re obviously having your own (but nobody else feels that way).

There’s really nothing to argue anymore. We got what we wanted in an immediate sense which was them taking notice of the issues the real fans of the game and the specific type of fans they made the game for wanted. Anything you’re saying is amounting to far less at this point because honestly nobody cares.

As long as you like 3S, myself or anyone else shoudn’t have a problem with you so we don’t see what you’re up about. I would at least assume you had a problem since you posted at least like 5 or 6 times in concern of what we’re asking for and “having trouble breathing” Last time I checked “having trouble breathing” counts as a problem. Maybe you like SFIV and 3S OE but you still find it hard to breathe. We like 3S OE and aren’t having trouble breathing so I’d say we’re doing better.

If there’s going to be a patch, mention everything you find wrong or inconsistent.

Why are you in this thread about feedback if you don’t want to read people’s feedback? Capcom isn’t some little kid, they can take criticism, we don’t have to spare their feelings with a good job. This is a start, it’s like a few months of work from being good, which is hilarious because they just built upon the old console version and somehow got the original music and some other features that were in the old console version stripped out.

Yeah, I’m going to complain and be vocal about it. I don’t have an option to go “whatever” and just play this at the arcade instead. Only things this have over the old console version is gameplay being closer to the arcade version (this very important), online and upload to youtube. Sounds not playing OFFLINE, visually smaller super bars, the same sad training mode, challenges being permanently stuck to the sides, online bugs like invisible people and SA switching, no region indicators or selection for online these are just awful things.

Where did the time and money go? Shipping in Japanese players? Shitty music remixes and art? Were these really higher up on the priority list than playtesting and a decent training mode? If they didn’t blow money on those things, could we have gotten a NEW console version instead of a dolled up old console version?

I wonder if Japanese players are also delivering feedback, and how much and who are the ones being vocal.

MOV already said he feels bad for 3S fans that purchased this game so that’s not an awesome look coming from him either. It’s definitely a better experience overall than the PS2 port that you can’t even play online and overall has a feel that’s closer to the arcade. The problem is just like MOV noticed…there’s just plenty things about the features of the game that are super rushed and sound and visual bugs/general issues that should have been fixed long before the game came out.

the EX move thing is becoming big too, so I think that MAYBE, just MAYBE that belongs in the first post, if it’s not there.

i dont understand how this game was rushed. they announced it at SDCC 2010, and it was released late August 2011. thats over a year. I think they just blew it.

rcorporon is derek neal?
