By the original trailer w Kazuya and Ryu I was definitely excited. This game looks pretty friggin corny. The throw animations are really cool but its pretty much just SF w some tekken characters and the roll technique put into it from the looks of it.
Not true at all. Doom missiles is easy to get out of once you understand how. It basically homes in on a set amount of space from when it is activated. When Captain America calls in Doom…then throws his shield its extremely hard to get out of because you’re trying to avoid the missiles as a first priority but you cant walk forward and attack because all captain america has to do is block any offensive attempt and either his shield or the missiles are going to hit you and set up a combo. I personally think its one of his best assists.
Any defensive character is not as good with missiles imo because rush down characters (Wolverine, Amaterasu, Wesker, Spencer, Trish, Magneto) can avoid it much easier and easily hone in on defensive characters. They can hit and run. Wolverine can bersker slash through it, Wesker can teleport, amat can air dash to block, spencer can grapple across screen and just block and bait the missiles full screen, etc. Missiles is really good, but there are much better assists in the game. (Akuma tatsu, haggar lariat, amaty cold star, sent drones, tron fire, x-23 ankle slice, dante jam session, chun li kicks.)
However; i think Doom is one of the best characters in the game, overall. Great overall assists, great meter build, solid health, good damage, good dhcs, easy st H OTG, good pressure, good defense.

While I was trolling ultra hard, Cap is not that bad, he deals good damage, builds meter pretty well and Shield Slash is pretty fucking annoying if you don’t have a projectile yourself. I also think a beam assist works best with Cap cause it makes his cartwheel workable.
