But it wouldnt be the same game. People want to play the same game and if it wasn’t the same idea, less people would buy it. Lets face it, the majority of people who bought mvc2 online are people who thought it was so fun and did not understand it at high levels or people who loved it at high levels. They do not NEED to change it. If they changed an old game their intentions would be incredibly obvious because an old game has been altered making the idea of diminishing competitive play completely obvious and inevitable. its like, lets say they remade halo I. Would they change the pistol? if so, it would make the game not what it once was and obvious that its hindering towards new people who demand balance and fun as opposed to broken, technical, high level, competitive.
Dude, that crap was like 1-2 weeks ago. Did you guys hear about Tokidos Akuma when Keits was talking about his skills on the stream? Videos of his Akuma were released a week prior to that stream and his Akuma looked pretty good…but not what everyone thought. Then he teams with Ricky and Wong on stream and blows everyone the fuck up like a week later. Remember how we established a BNB for Iron Man and then like a week after everyone found a better BNB to build better meter and get better corner positioning?
The progression of growth and developent for MVC3 is insanely high and, insanely fast. What’s not to say that through my growth as a player it lead me to realize that I was indeed wrong about my initial thought? It’s basically like this: We all thought Sentinel was BUST when the game first came out, right? But then high level players go “well, okay. hes not. this works, this works, and hes not so good!” but everyone else goes, “awww shit. I have to find what works!” and it takes a longer period for a majority of us to learn a game. Skisonic did a few interviews at Winter Brawl and I remember him ending an interview saying “Well, guys, for those of you who thought Sentinel was unbeatable…he is beatable. You just have to find things that work” and hes right. Hes basically saying that “high level players have found ways to do it…you have to go do it now.” IMO, high level players are Justin Wong, Tokido, Dieminion, MarlinPie, etc. Not state regulars or people who occasionally get some good wins. People who KNOW their shit and can do it consistently. Not to bash anyone of you guys, (Really, i dont mean to) but I don’t look at anyone in CT as high level. So like Justin and Floe are learning at a faster rate than us because they know certain tricks at high levels. We will eventually learn and see what they see…but at a slower rate. So basically, we all learn at different rates. I learned later that Sentinel is indeed beatable and not ban worthy. You all saying “you thought sentinel was BROKEN” says that you simply don’t think im learning this game with you? That’s just a horrible and impossible statement. Which ties back to my whole point of looking at what Capcom did with Sentinel and WHY they chose to kill his health and not his dmg, or armor frames, the assist, or whatever.
Yes, I did indeed say that but if you read a few posts back i took back what i said about having him banned even before this podcast was released. I stated that hes not that good as long as you really don’t hit buttons because his offense isn’t really that scary. I’m not missing out on anything im saying here and you all are trying to find ways to make my claim not legitimate or accurate. STFU and drop the egotistical online bandwagon joke “everyones making fun of him so im going to do it” bullshit, because its stupid.
You all say that I should stop saying stupid things and posting horrible information and then post good material and now you’re all like “lol, but you said stupid stuff BEFORE” negating the fact that i’m moving forward and you’re the ones being stupid now.
