CPS3 Broken!!!

i don’t see any difference between the two when i play…

It will crash as soon as you try loading a ROM if you don’t have a “Plugins” directory in the same folder.

U4 is the shit version. u4.1 is fixed.

sigh alrighty, time to go emu hunting

…unless one of you kind gentlemans would provide for me a link?

And where can we get that version? The link posted a page or so back?

<3

i get the “mame32 must close. sorry for the inconvience.” error when i click on a server in kaillera. suggestions?

Well,ElSemi Emu has a great job…now waiting for a source code o a strikeback of NJ of the PSP Scene.

I have a plugins directory but it still crashes. Another question is how do you run it in windowed mode. I don’t understand why mame works and the cps3 emu doesn’t

Is the online play in the Mame emulator even worth trying?

Yes.

In fact it’s probably the most played game on Kaillera. At least on daroms and anti3d. It plays like any other 2d fighter on kaillera, except for if you yourself have a slow computer or your opponent does (you can tell if there computer is slow just by how long it takes them to load the ROM at th beginning of the game). I use the ‘excellent’ connection setting and so long as I don’t play absurdly laggy (over 70 ping I kick them, I generally look for below 50 though) people I can get off parrying just like in real life, no big deal.

ffs people check ur options, to play in windows mode go to properties and untick START IN FULL SCREEN/MAXIMISED

Gaijinblaze- would have thought that was it but didnt work for me either, atleast he also gave source for some of the filters

Does anyone know how to speed up the CD write when you try to run CPS3 games in the latest MAME? I’ve tried disabling the throttle, but that isn’t making much of a difference.

Yeah I tried the same time, I even messed with the framerates and thread priority/multithreading. I think they set the exact CD read time as the CPS3 machines for better accuracy. My advice:
[]Copy your nvram and paste it if you need to do it again
[
]You can open multiple instances of MAME and do all your ROMS at once if your computer is fast enough.
how come my sf3 no cd runs slower then the original

I had the test version 3 and downloaded the latest emu, and i’d rather stick with test version 3.

This new version seems to offer little improvements and now the games list is also bogged down with all those needless “CD” titles, which i don’t see why anyone would bother with them.

Man MAME 0.116 u4.1 shits on ELSemi’s 1.0

Proper pausing, full speed. Just a better experience over-all. Even though I did have to boot the CD, which was complete bullshit. It took only 10 minutes per game. I only booted the CD’s for Jojo and the SF3’s.

Everything is alright in the new MAME. Plus the shadows don’t look like fucking black holes anymore!

My PC can run MAME, so I have no problems with it. Although I admit ELSemi’s is more memory friendly. But his newest is laggy as hell and the sprites look rough. I prefer my MAME.

I knew I wasn’t crazy.Does anyone have a link to the version3 Elsemi ?1.0 sucks and I didn’t back up .3. The Nebula website only has the most recent iteration…

I think I’ve read that even no-cd versions try to access the disc (which obviously is not present) from time to time and this is causing slowdowns.
