Maybe it’s because you got the set without the chd file. I read CPS3 emu doesn’t need it but mame does. I use the chd version for both… o_0
**
since it’s hard to tell what else to look for since he was never in TS…
umm… It’s hard to say what he differs from normal akuma in this game…
but:
faster shungokusatsu compared to akuma’s version
does not use the F,D,DF + Kick special move ( with its follow ups )
although I could be mistaken… this was how they did it on newer games but on older ones they gave Shin Akuma the same moves as normal akuma just slight speed changes. So, he might or might not have these animation sets to him in TS… I think he probably would…
in Second Impact Shin Akuma had a sound file that played when you first fought him as a secret boss for his intro… not sure if this sound file would be in TS…
This is the sound file to look for. http://acidglow.planetavp.gamespy.com/tp/a.mp3
Outfits sometimes varied. In Alpha series he dawned a dark purple outfit, but in Second Impact he had a dark purple or grey outfit ( this is in TS ) but had white hair. But dark purple outfit with normal hair was the alpha style.**
yeah, ElSemi’s doesn’t need the .chd file. mame does.
in cvs2, shin akuma did have a faster shun goku satsu than regular akuma, and he didn’t have the DP + kick and its follow ups of regular akuma. shin akuma also had white hair in cvs2.
**Yup… I noted the speed and physical differences through older and newer games. I would assume this Shin Akuma would share the DP + Kick special due to it being a late 90’s game. Around the same time Alpha series brought Shin Akuma in and he shared Akuma’s move sets. But after 2000 they made each one slighty different. But the way I look at it. Shin Akuma in second impact only had 3 changes to him to differ from Akuma.
faster SGS
double air fireball
different outfit
So I would assume that’s all he would differ in TS since it hardly was a new game apart from SI. I could be wrong but I am looking at the time line of Shin Akuma’s over the past games he’s been in.**
1P side is hardcoded to use the blue color outfit so it doesn’t matter what button you press to select him and 2P side is hardcoded to use the white outfit.
mi wish was granted.
I KNEW that he was somewhere in the game. Now, time to find hidden/rejected moves
unused frames
Hashin-sho
and a playable sean with 2I movelist (and hitboxes)
I’ll pay 10$ to the first who can hack in visible hitboxes in 3s
hey eiji, is there a way to get shin akuma without having to use mame and the code? i think i read somewhere that if you beat arcade mode and get a final grade of MSF, he’ll be unlocked.
lol thanks
but it’s not that hard to obtain that kind of score, at least with some characters
tips:
-never lose a round (perfects help, I had 8 perfects on that run)
-aim for stun
-combo into superfinish after the stun for loads of points, shopuld try that in every single round
this looks good (and it’s my best score currently) but is shit compared to the Gamest records
(more than 10M with every character besides Necro who stop at like 9,900,000
and with Yang they almost reached 16M. I can’t even imagine how you can reach that kind of score, in my run I always had superfinish, did excellent on the car and perfect at the parry bonus, didn’t lose a round = full complete bonus, in my calculations even if I perfected every round I would still barely fall short of 10M)
I just played as CPU Vanilla Ice, he uses his stand differently. The only other CPU-only characters I managed to find and play as were N’Dool and Death 13.
That score is so easy to get with Makoto, you can get even higher, just do her command grab, HP, HCF+HP and repeat. After the 5th character, you can get an MSF on everyone there on.
