No matter how shitty SvC is, I’ll always enjoy Demitri’s new sprite. I think it was actually done pretty well.

Still SNK did more with ken than capcom ever did.
You had Evil Ryu, Evil Evil Akuma :lol: hell you even had a cyber dan :lol: but poor old ken never got anything.
The controls. It’s all about the controls. They need to have faster response time, they need to be more intuitive, and just smoother and more natural in general. CvS2 plays like a dream. SvC plays like a hangover.
Really, if they would have just refined the controls, the game would be 95% better.
What could have save SvC, I have to say time. The game came out at a bad time for SNK so the game seems rushed. The game needed alot of work so with more time they may have fixed alot of what we hate about the game. I like some of the sprites they did but Ken and Ryu was bad. They retro SFII look was not happening. V-Ken was cool to me though, hell everybody who wrote fanfics about SF had a evil Ken in one of there stories. Plus if you have evil Ryu you got to have a evil Ken.
My question is where is SvC2? I know alot of the Capcom heads don’t want to see it but lets be fair, Capcom got to make 2 games so way not SNK. They have been on a roll lately with 3 good games plus the have a good track record with sequals so why not. Hell if you look back on it CvS 1 wasn’t that good either. Take way the newness at the time and novelty factor of it and it was a bad game. When CvS2 came out we forgot all about CvS1 because 2 was so much better.
Excel? do mean the Exceed moves? I thought it was a novel idea, to have one kick-ass super you could only do once during the match. It was kinda like in SS4 where you could giveup some life and your rage meter to attempt a final assault (if you were about to lose of course). Except in this case, you had to be at least half dead in order to use your Exceed. There was no balancing on them though. It’s not like your opponent had to have a certain amount of health more than you. So I ended up using the move as a finisher more than to level the playing field when someone was giving me a beatdown down. Heck I’d purposely lose health just to use the move. And that said, it was kinda retarded.
Shiki’s Exceed restored a good portion of her health… that always kinda seemed unfair to me. But that didn’t stop me from using it.

The ONLY thing that would have saved it: the damn game should play like kof. Fuck that gcs crap. Oh, and make the sf guys’ supers look better. They look MAD lame and weak compared to the SNK cast. It’s okay when the 2 don’t share the same game, but compared to the other guys (SNK) in the same game, their moves look…unfinished or something. They could’ve spiced that shit up.

yeah we woulda saw like Sakura,Zangief, or some SF b/s char as usual. And they wouldnt put in Goenitz, Mars People Goddess Athena or Shiki. CAPCOM doesn’t like to do things differently they woulda kept
KOF Athena, Hoahmaru, King, Yuri etc.
the only complaint I have on the controls are charge motions which I have gotten comfortable with. Except ones liek Guile flash kick super
and the overall speed made it feel laggy offline lol. For example, Vega I didnt feel was very fast at all. And Ior was liek a terd in speed lol
Def. better hit boxes. For a throw or a standing close attack ur sprites had to be completely over-lapping
MAX MODE as well, either make it good for everyone since some ppl had no max cancels or just get rid of it
there soem things that felt real out of place in the gameplay but I still liked it
Hugo - Clap to command throw lol or comboing into Command throw for that matter. CAPCOM isn’t big on that anymore lol
Kara cancels were cool but not entirely useful

Shotos - crouching Bx4, db + D to fireball. Liek the ultimate shoto poke string lol
though SNK is also known for not being able to cancel alot of characters crouching LK in this case

SVC:Match of the Mellenium, Card Fighters Clash, Card Fighters Clash 2, AND SVC:CHAOS, which was Playmore’s. Playmore screwed it up.
I enjoyed MotM the better here. Even more than CVS. Tag Team fighting, 3 on 3 fighting, a decent cast(including K’), original music, and to top it off, Bison and Geese on a tag team match! Hell, it wouldda kicked more ass if the tag battles were similar to Marvel SH Vs. SF. Raging Storm to set up, then Psycho CRUSSHAAAAAAAAA!!!

The best damn game to have both Capcom and SNK’s name on the same box…it was for the Neogeo pocket color. That shit rocked like there was no tomorrow.
