Copy THIS! The Taskmaster thread!

I do the same to get in with She-Hulk.

its been common knowledge for awhile now, at least in norcal

learn double super combos

Learn triple super combos

QUADRUPLE??!?!?!!?1/11//1

lets do it

You can actually do 4 if you start a combo with vertical Legion Arrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if 5 is possible with the right assists.

I think you can do 5 if you start with vert then do an air diag into ground diag xfactor into air diag into ground super

Xfactor combos don’t really exist in combo video land

So one of my 2 mains for the longest has been Honzo Gonzo’s team of Task Ammy Doom, and I’ve loved it ever since the day I accidentally stumbled upon it. I stopped playing it for a while to develop my other main team. Anyway, I came back to TAD hard in the last couple days, but I had an interesting idea and was curious the better Task players’ thoughts (Gonzo in partic if you see this), and that is of replacing Ammy with Dormammu.

Basically it has a ton of pros (better DHC, great mixups with Dorm out + Task arrows and Doom missiles, more zoning AND rushdown options, etc etc), but one major con and potential deal breaker, which is significantly less block stun on Dark Hole than Cold Star, therefore making the unblockable DP move either impossible or way harder (I have to test, but I figure if it’s possible at all it would have to be L version). So I’m wondering if any of you Task pros have any experience playing Taskmaster with Dark Hole assist and if there are any fun setups to compensate for the “downgrade” in assist. I thought of plenty of setups as Dorm, but its my Task on point that I’m worried takes a strategic hit from this change. And since our (mine and Honzo’s) squad relies so much on that Cold Star stun, I find myself unsure if I discovered a sweet new variation of the team, or completely neutered its close-quarters potency.

I’m interested in everyones’ opinions as the Task forum has a LOT of talent posting in it, but Honzo, if you see this, have you ever experimented with this configuration? What do you think of the idea? I’m gonna try it out, for sure, but I fear that if the unblockable (I forget its name) can no longer be reliably setup, the team loses one of its most critical weapons (Hey Phoenix, how’s it goin’?).

Hey,

Bad news Taskmaster players.

couple things, dark hole allows for a L sword master to connect pretty easily
You can chip kill phoenix better with dorm, and can blow up assists better with dorm, so hes a pretty good with task/doom
Doom missiles can also extend his combos easily, and you can call task right before you otg hyper to get extra damage

Bad ass! It was the sword master issue I was worried most about, since that seems to be so critical for the welcome setups when new characters come in. As you know probably better than anyone else, Task backed by Cold Star can be devastating in that situation, and I really didn’t want to give that up. BUT… if that still works, have you ever considered trying this? Great as Ammy is, Dorm here is really sick too. Dunno if one is necessarily BETTER, but it’s cool having an alternate variation, and a stronger DHC from Task is a welcome thing fer sher. Thanks for the reply!

ill condsider trying it, honestly dante would be the best fit in my team, for a myriad of reasons

Eh, I don’t see this being practical unless Spencer (or whoever) is supering with the intention of X-factoring. Xfactoring to kill 1 character when you probably don’t need to is not ideal.

X-factoring after Lancer is usually stupid anyway (unless you’re catching an assist, in which case they can’t DHC) because Spencer can kill off it with the right spacing regardless.

Maybe with Wolverine since he’s so good in level 1 Xfactor, but otherwise the uses seem limited.

Dante after Task definitely good shit. No doubt about it. Though I’ve never tried him with Doom missiles. He’s tried and true with beam, but missiles could be quite interesting. And just like Black Hole, Jam Session AND Wesel Shot could be really good for the block stun as well. Good thought. However, Dorm also has some really fun setups with Arrows and Missiles, especially when by the time the opponent has any idea which assist you called, you’ve already teleported. Arrows for immediate teleport mixup, Missiles to cover trijumps/allow spells/etc. What I’m doin is calling Doom, teleporting behind, then dashing back down away (of course you can attack too), the idea being it calls missiles safely. I havent played it enough to say with any conviction what tends to go on between the teleport and the missiles dropping, but I imagine it’s something close to “whatever you want.” lol

But yeah, i messed with DacidBro’s team a lot, so I can say pretty much for sure that Dante in Ammy’s spot would be REALLY good. Perhaps you can try that, and I’ll try Dorm, and we can compare notes hehe (Though if you want to try Dorm too that’d be fantastic) Good idea either way!

Quick question. Does Taskmaster have a way of starting the DHC trick? I know he can go *into *it with Aegis Counter, but does he have a way to start it?

Nope, he can’t start it.

just discovered a new xfactor loop with task in the corner i’ve only tested on xfactor 3 so far but it goes

launcherxxtigerkneeverticle arrowsxxshieldskills then repeat i’ve only gotten 2 reps so far but i kno u can do more i will try it on level 2 and 1 xfactor

EDIT: will ONLY WORK ON LEVEL 2 AND 3 XFACTOR YOU CAN GET SEVERAL LOOPS IN AND ABOUT 4 LOOPS WILL KILL EVERYONE IN THE GAME. Also after the first part of the loop u can just do launcher into verticle arrows in xfactor 3 in xfactor too u have to hesitate the launcher after the shield slash to connect fully. In level 3 xfactor u dont even need the shield slash just launcher to tiger knee vert arrows i find this to be a lot easier then the shield charge arrows infinite

Xfactor3: Can be done in corner and after 3 reps does over 1mill addin a 4th rep will kill anyone in the game for free.

Xfactor2 must have shield slash after verticle arrows and must hesistate slightly before launcher for it to connect. So far it wont work after a second loop but it wont matter u can go into a standard combo into legion arrows to kill off anyone in the game

So far what i have found is the loop is REALLY easy to do doesnt cost any meter (just xfactor) and is a great comeback tool especially in level 3. This can be effective if ur down to task and ur oppenent only has 2 charecters if u catch the first and kill them then u will have plenty of meter and xfactor to continue the loop and it really doesnt use that much xfactor time so u could run through a team with this setup

You can just to Shield Skills xx M Arrows over and over in XFactor 1 in the corner.

the timing on that is throwing me off its hard for me to do consistently i can do this easier and it kills faster with extra xfactor to spare
