Copy THIS! The Taskmaster thread!

Sorry if this question has been answered (I’m sure it has, I just can’t find it). What is the key to getting Tasky’s self relaunch with the charge shot? Does the solo relaunch only work in the corner? Thx

Foot dives. if naked, Shield Master or Aegis Counter. Afterwards block and have Haggar Lariat it.
if assist covered, Lariat assist.

Keepaway? Jump back Aim Master M and Shield Master. Counter bad stuff with Legion Arrows.

Rushdown Super jump Aim Master Has I’m dropping and they’re charging. Proceed to combo.

It is dependent on your air series, if your midscreen while in the air sometimes you are going to have to just instantly S when your in the air depending how close you are to the corner to gain a relaunch (this method has really tight timing though). If your in the corner it’s much easier for the first arrow relaunch if you do the:m: :m: :h: :f::h: :m::h: :s: air series since it puts you a lil bit below the person when you slam them back down and makes it easier to jump up and relaunch with fully charged arrows.

any uses for sword master?

Yes, but you need an assist to hold them in place for a while like Doom missiles, Ammy Coldstar or Chun legs. Ideally, you just want to go for the head butt and link into a full combo off the last few assist hits. It’s not super easy to setup, but it’s not impossible either.

Found a way to DHC glitchfrom Magneto to taskmaster midscreen (need doom missile assist though) I had to film the video with one hand so I wasn’t able to record me finishing the combo off with taskmaster, but from here you can just launch > j.H > 6H > j. M > j. H. > j. S > hyper (or relaunch with j. 236H > 4H > S > j. S > aerial arrows x hyper > Tiger Knee hyper). The simplified combo should do at least 1mil, I forget how much the full combo does ( I wanna say around 1.3-1.4mil)

And heres another variation, sorry for the bad quality btw.

Up Arrows + dash in cr.M = Unblockable?

Are up arrows an overhead?

Since when are they overhead? I don’t believe they are. o.o

Never mind this is stupid, Low block doesn’t even block straight arrows. Why would they do that…

i just picked up taskmaster last night and he seems like a great character to learn. i didn’t realize his BNB’s did so much damage.

just one question though, i’m having a hard time locating what projectiles his charging star beats/doesn’t beat. where can i find this info?

Beat everything in the game that isnt hyper as long as his shield is active beams include, but doesnt work on photon cannon for instance

This really sounds not true, gotta say

Are you using the training dummy setting that only blocks low and doesn’t block mid?

Yeah I fucked up.

anybody have a link to the video where combofiend was fighting with taskmaster against this one dude where he did

:b:+:h: :qcf:+:m: (charged; two shot) loop?

Has anyone ever tried to do Heavy Sword master unblockable in the corner and your opponent doesnt block the first slash? Well you can take advantage of this as it leaves your opponent in a juggle state which gives enough time to combo into shield skills or st.L, st.M, st.H into mighty swing combo.Set your opponent to jump in training mode and do Sword master H and you can see for yourself.

Bear in mind the opponent has to be at maximum regular jump height. Good pressure for when characters are coming in.

So I figured out a 100% combo on Thor starting with 0 meter and using 1 assist.

I’m working on a more elaborate combo video and I’ll include it along with other stupid shit involing TAC infinites and 5 million damage combos with the DHC glitch and no X-factor.

Got lazy and my video is taking forever. Enjoy the stupidity of MvC3:

I’m a relatively new Taskmaster player. Anyone have any general advice on getting in with Taskmaster? Preferably without the use of assists, as he is my anchor. I’ve been having a difficult time advancing on my opponents and starting my offense, so I usually just end up trying to zone with him (which does not work well against people with fullscreen hypers that can punish my arrows.)

I’m honestly just used to characters with teleports (Zero, Wesker, Deadpool, Dante, etc.)

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Strange coincidence, but I just made a vid to show Tasky’s mobility options.

I’ve never seen it mentioned here, but I hope most people realize that the momentum from his dash transfers directly to Shield Skills. If you dash then immediately cancel into Shield Skills, you’ll cover over half of the screen:
