task and doom would like to have a word with you

Marvel is getting a bit ridiculous. I can see all the good characters having solo 100% combos by the end of the game’s lifespan.

The double arrow lift is, unfortunately, a one-frame timing. I don’t believe it to be match-practical, given that there’s no way to use any of the game’s systems to handily expand the timing.

Speaking of teams, I’ve been playing Spencer (gamma), Task (alpha), Doom (beta) and they work extremely well together.

Arrows help Spencer’s zipline approach and create really ambiguous mixups when a new character is coming in, Task (and Doom in the corner or wasting a lvl 3) can use the DHC glitch, Doom missiles help extend Spencer’s combos alot and allow him to get over 800k meterless and their super synergy is really great. If you carelessly Bionic Arm and Task or Wesker use a counter super, you can DHC to Legion arrow to make it safe provided you’re not too close (you can easily use this to coax free damage from a counter happy opponent). Their triple team sets up a free mixup for Spencer if blocked etc etc. To top it all off they can all basically TOD anyone in the game with the proper setups.

Dacidbro, I feel that although Dante/Taskmaster is very strong that it still has some bad match ups especially when Task is on point backed by Dante, less so but still existent when Dante is on point backed by Task. I 'm unsure whether I agree with you that Wolverine is among them however, Taskmaster has a lot of good tools to deal with wolverine and just the matter of using them correctly is still in development. :frowning:

Duck Strong, that’s a scary combo indeed both for the video and for the characters. Why the decision for Doom to be on beta? All 3 of his assists seem potentially scary for that team. Also, do you feel having Doom anchor is the best decision for the team? Taskmaster arrows are pretty delicious for him.

task/spencer need the assists more than doom does

As a Task anchor I’m not sure I agree about Task requiring assists for anything other than mix up, Spencer I’m not qualified to say currently. :frowning:

Dude I hit that in TOURNAMENT. No way it’s 1f I’m not nearly that cool with my timing.

Missiles help Spencer do over 800k meterless and are a general nuisance when Tasmaster is on point. You can get like 3 garanteed blocked arrow flurries with missiles and that stuff really hurts.

Task doesn’t need assists, but they certainly don’t hurt his game. Some characters like Tron and Haggar have absolutely no way to get in against Task and Doom; it’s really really dumb.

Armor Piercer is great with Doom after killing a character because he can crossup with footdive and they will bounce back over him for a corner combo into death. Again, really stupid and really easy.

its one frame, and your execution is godlike stop lying

It’s not 1 frame, I hit it in tournament and I don’t have training mode. Level up your counting Honzo. :stuck_out_tongue:

the second air lift is a one frame, you guys have good execution too you play brokenmcbrokenbroke who is all execution

If I had execution I’d be able to do the infinite block string with her XP.

The 2nd lift is definitely not 1 frame. I just got done practicing 2f Dante cancels, which feel noticeably tighter. I’d make another “Honzo is a pre-teen who can’t do real combos but still wins matches” joke, but it’s kind of old, like the opposite of Honzo. Get it?

fine I guess I’m wrong, I’m gunna go eat rice krispy treats in the corner now

You have rice crispy treats? D: Can I have some? ^.^

I was just going to make the 2f Dante reference :[

Why you gotta steal my fun

Some characters are easier to get the second relaunch than others. Viewtiful Joe, for instance, is so easy that you should probably go for it every time.

Second relaunch is a no brainer, but if you mean second arrow lift, you think Joe is that easy to catch with it?

Yeah, I meant second arrow lift. (Second relaunch, rather than second launch, but I could see how that’s unclear.) On Joe it’s about as easy as the first arrow lift on most characters.
