Thanks Mr.Big for the info. I hope you can use Hulk’s Gamma Wave assist in kind of the same way as Sent’s drones… Gamma Wave, they block, Sword Master>Headbutt, whatever.

worst comes to worse they can just X-Factor cancel out of the blockstun and just jump.
Someone should test if you can throw him out of it.
Pretty sure you’re left vulnerable for a second when you use X-Factor. If you space your assist right, I don’t even think X-Factor could save you if it keeps the opponent from push blocking.
Say with sentinel drones you get them to block the first drone, then they block your sword swing and you do the unblockable followup. If they activate before the followup and knock you away, the last drone should still hit and you could theoretically combo them from there.
Probably needs to be tested thoroughly to be sure though.
You would need to do something invulnerable (like a command grab) to keep from getting hit by the drones. So characters like Thor and Haggar can escape easily probably, others not so much.
i knew there was more to taskmaster. don’t forget alpha counters though.
I wish Tasky’s had a counter that hit high, I kept getting hit by stupid Wesker fast teleport overhead
Might be soon to talk, but with the right “expansion type assist” Taskmaster has the best corner pressure in the game. Holy lord you build sooo much meter.
PS. Taskmaster vs Sentinel is reallly annoying. But once your in that ass , he cant do shit
also idk if this has been posted. but the Web Sling and Charging Star does chip. so its a good way to do pressure imo. Still experimenting with my team. hes reallly good though, the great part is that you can start pressure from any range.
For example: I can press Standing Heavy, Assist, and press Back Heavy(Charging Star). as the Charging star is recovering, the assist hits and your safe and can continue pressuring. Pushblocking can save them, but if you want, you can take a chance and counter if you see there pushblocking.
also if you Do the standing heavy and buffer back heavy, back heavy wont come out if it misses =) hope that helps

i agree, basing a combo in a mvc game off of command normals is really lame and i think hurts the longterm viability of the character unless you have godlike execution. howvr, mvc had some command normals too (though nothing necessary for combos) so well have to wait and see.

Need combos guys. I was able to do sM>H>Web Swing>LMH> and I think another Web Swing. There’s a shit load of potential in that. Does his counter work on projectiles?
jumping down light kick is the first thing that comes to mind as a command normal that was key in a combo.
Anyway, I enjoy the fact that his normals are so buff and meaty. Taskmaster is really fun to play as.
yeah out of place in marvel but it is the new new so command normals will just have to become part of our repertoire
Just want to chime in and say that his vertical arrows assist has been amazing for helping my Deadpool’s zoning game. That arc is beautiful and covers a great amount of aerial space. Whoever though he had bad assists, try this one out; you won’t be disappointed.
Yeah, I was thinking of using that assist to help Hulk get in.

I need help.
I’ve had the game for about an hour, and have been unable to successfully combo a 2nd spidey swing into an air combo. I’ve tried everything I can think of…holding forward for the whole combo, then pressing hard attack for the swing, only holding forward for the swing, delaying the combo to change the trajectory of the opponent, inputting light attack then medium attack immediately after, inputting them slowly, two light attacks, two medium attacks, but I can’t get it to come out.
The weird shit is I can do two per jump as long as it’s not a super jump. But my inability to combo two in one combo remains during normal jump combos.
What am I doing wrong?! Thanks in advance.
