Does Anyone think i’ll be able to unlock taskmaster in time to play with all my psn friends on the release date?
8000 PP sounds like a lot(probably isn’t but you can never tell)

Well that magazine says you should have all the characters unlocked in a couple of hours, so I don’t think 8000 pp will be very much.
They did.
8000pp is equivalent to 4 playthroughs of arcade mode. So you should be fine!
I’m not really for or against unlocking characters, but I really don’t understand the point for a game that premiers on the home consoles. It made sense for arcade first games where they wanted people to dump more tokens in or it was on a time release. But for the home version it’s just a bump in the road that seems like it’s there to force you to see what they did with the arcade mode and unintentionally annoy.

Looks like I might be the only one, but I though Tasky looked extremely good in the footage we got so far. I am partial to projectiles that have a delayed startup though. Oki madness!
na a lot of people think he’s pretty good, its just that the weird random haters are the really vocal ones.
i have a feeling taskmaster will be my favorite of the locked characters(unless Hsien-Ko Surprises me with something really cool but as far as akuma and sentinel are concerned i really don’t give a crap about them)
Lol Joc man you were only locked into that until the bets were proven wrong. All of us switched to the tombstone avatars already since lupinko nailed the list. Of course, if you like the “We suck at betting” better than the tombstone Eddie Brock thats up to you which one you use. I still think the revolving one is awesome lol. You can change it to whatever you want on release day though.

im going to give taskmaster a whirl, but without 8way dash idk how viable hes gonna be in the long run.
I’m sure people will figure something out, but I hope that the game isn’t limited to only using chars with 8-way dashes if you wanna win.
Pretty much this. He looks cool, I’m hype for him, but I’m skeptical because of his mobility.
well this is a prediction, but judging by how fast some peoples tridashes seem to be (mas, storm, iron man) this game is going to get faster as its life evolves. slower characters will just fall to the wayside, unless they have godlike keepaway or a great GTFOME assist.

Yeah… I’m not seeing how not having 8 way means you’re more likely to end up crap tier than others. If this was MvC2, sure. MvC3? Definitely not.
I don’t fear for Taskmaster, I mean with Spidey Swing and his j.C’s nice range plus some good assists, I think he’ll get in fairly well. I think I’m going to team him up with Dante (who should have no problem getting in with Air Trick) and Hulk with either his super-armoured Gamma Charge assist, or his full screen Gamma Wave assist. GW should cover the ground while Tasky comes in via Spidey Swing, so maybe that’ll work.
