Also guys, remember he has that command normal overhead, which looks to hit from about half screen, plus he can swing in and block string safely, which means he can set up unblockables from half-screen; call your low hitting assist (X-23, Wesker, Felicia, She-Hulk, etc.) and then either swing in, or do his standing overhead, and open 'em up like a freshly popped can of pringles.
A team of Taskmaster-?/X-23-ankle slicer/Wesker-samurai edge is looking really strong, no matter who is on point you can create unblockables-Tasky on point calls assist and goes for swing or standing overhead, X-23 on point calls Wesker and hops and aerials/dive kicks, Wesker on point calls X-23 and teleports behind them then aerials.
Tasky on the team as an assist would be useful, irregardless of what assist he ends up having. Arrows for covering approaches, comboes, and forcing block, Swing for pressure on block and comboes, Counter for reflecting projectiles, covering high-low mixups, stopping attacks for a reset, or on a good read. I’m hoping for a counter assist, think about it- if your opponent is running a low assist, you can already tell they’ll be going for an unblockable or high-low ambiguous crossup. With Taskmaster counter assist, as soon as you see them call their low assist, call out Taskmaster and block low (assuming we get his standing counter.) The low hit gets blocked, and their overhead is countered. Or, say you are doing block string pressure with X-23 or Wesker. You get a lot of hits in, but when you hop or teleport to reset, they aren’t in blockstun and could jab you out of your pressure. Well, what if when you have to go for the reset hop/teleport, you call Taskmaster out with a counter in front of them- he counters high, and if they go for a low hit, it’ll hit Taskmaster but whiff on you because hop/teleport puts you above their low, so you can then get an overhead on them and begin a combo. If they don’t attack when Taskmaster is out and you reset, you get another block string off on them.
