So according to Gamesradar’s Wesker demo, Wesker can combo out of his counter super. I wondered why it seemed so weak for such a risky move, but now it makes sense. That certainly makes it more useful than a standard counter ultra at least.

I disagree with Wesker not needing more Hypers. He needs one more imo, and it MUST involve Oroboros.

Now that I know Wesker’s moveset, IMO if you try to combo with Wesker, you’re a scrub. Resets allday . . .nuff said

Just noticed that Wesker removes his glasses during the startup of Maximum Wesker, and they stay removed throughout the rest of the match and during the winpose.
Explains why we didn’t see the breakable glasses before.

presumably the teleport that puts him in the air and one of the low assists.

Now the real question is, which assists hit low that also have decent hit stun?

Also, Blackhole assist Dorm will be awesome with Wesker. Definitely holds them enough for Wesker to teleport in and start a combo.

I was thinking about this too, but even do Dorm does something for Wesker, it doesn’t seem Wesker would do anything for Dorm, because why would Dorm care to use Weskers assist that hits low if all that he is doing is keepaway. I prefer Dante because both of them can extend combos with their OTG assists, and because Dante Jam Session assist covers Wesker good on the air because of Wesker not having any air dashes/double jumps to compete in the air. And because Wesker assist might be a pain to block while Dante is tri jumping on you.

X-23’s Ankle Slicer assist sound like it can work for unblockable setups. It it launches she can be the new Psylocke

Wesker actually can do something very important for Dormammu, and that’s build meter. Wesker doesn’t really need his supers to do big damage with his combos, thanks to his ability to do ground combo into wall bounce, teleport into a few more hits, launch, etc. That leaves Wesker free to wreck shit for awhile while either using Dormammu’s dark hole assist to help pressure or Dorm’s pillar assist as a “get the fuck off me” move, then tag in Dorm and use the meter on multiple Floating Bombs or whatever.

Speaking of Wesker, do we know what all his assists are? I can only really remember seeing the ground shot used in all the various match vids.
