I don’t think they will kill off a core character, and Chang has become one. I could see like Duncan (who hasn’t been around this season), Leonard or maybe someone like Rich or Vaughn.
Angry is correct in that the Nelsen rating system is dated. We are too big of a country with many likes and dislikes and even among states, the cities differ. The rating system is practically a box that monitors what you watch and they pay you. In this day of age with Digital boxes, i dont see how ratings could not be measured but then you get into would the cable providers show a bias. Think NBC/Comcast. Would they up their NBC number on purpose? There should be a chip installed inside tvs that does this and sends the signal to a independent auditor.
i feel like they lost who he was as a character. but i also feel like they were/are gonna devlop him more possibly leading into whatever john goodmans doing.
I’ll be happy with four. Comedies like this very rarely hold on to the magic for more than 3-4 seasons. Look at Arrested Development, can anyone say they believe that show would have held on to it’s brilliance given 2-3 more seasons? I doubt it. Characters would have become caricatures of themselves, like everyone on The Office. I trust in Dan Harmon and I trust in the Russo brothers, and if anyone can pull it off, they could, but I don’t think the level of genius they have right now can sustain for even 5 seasons.
However, fuck all, we get more Community next month!
Yeah; I’m really thinking 4 should be the last. Even my most favorite shows (like The Wire and The Shield) with more than 4 seasons either had weak seasons or got a little weak toward the end. Though The Shield holds the unique distinction of having later seasons be just as good as earlier ones (aside from 6).
