I appreciate the casuals today in AH3 and they shall resume tomorrow. I’ll be practicing that Saki/Plant herp derp before I go to sleep tonight because Niggas gettin’ real with Akane on me :stuck_out_tongue: Me and Eskay plan on heading to Game Nation to check out the venue around 7pm.

I like picking bad characters because i make fake characters look real. its what ive always done. Quan Chi/Baraka/Sheeva will be my set of characters for this weekend. Get hype

Quan chi is the shit

Hey Columbians, I am going to USC for an MBA and I’ll be moving to Columbia the first of July. I’m from Anaheim, CA and I play fighting games. If I remember correctly, you guys meet in the business building of USC in the evenings? One time in November of last year, I was visiting SC and I accidentally found a bunch of guys playing SFIV and KOF on a projector on the 5th floor of the business building.

Anyway, my name is Andrew. I’m white. I play fighting games. I’ve been to EVO a bunch of times. I’ve played Mike Ross, Valle, and Sanford a few times. I’ve played AE a bunch. I’m really strong in SFIV, MVC2 and 3, CVS2, and Third Strike. I’m okay at MK9.

I went to BYU for my undergrad and I got really serious in the Utah fighting scene. It’s really legit in Salt Lake.

But hey, I’m excited to meet some of you when I make it to SC. Best of luck, see ya.

This could be interesting… What up dude. Look forward to seeing you around here.

So are people actually going to this MK9 tournament on Saturday?

Preciate the introduction. Look forward to getting to meet ya in July and getting some games in for SF4 and MvC3 (MK9 as well should you be down for that). I’ll be upfront and say i cant really provide you with any comp for the other games you listed.

@Justin: It seems like there’ll be a couple of us but in terms of who’ll actually be entering the tournament?..hard to say.

I swear all this talk about Guilty Gear “coming soon” is driving me crazy! ugh…

@awalk002: I can’t wait to have you become apart of the scene here in Columbia. When you came to USC, it must have been during one of Nashi’s meetings. We’ll usually have casuals there, Maddness Gaming or my house.

@Justin: Since the tournament was announce with little time for notice and mainly on Facebook, who knows. I’ll just be showing up to spectate.

Edit:

@ Eskay: The Madden Tournament won’t be until next Thursday, so I’ll meet up with Brandon at Game Nation this Saturday afternoon. If you still wanna come along, let me know. I’ll also be having casuals after 6pm today and I’m looking to play mainly AH3 and MvC3. I’ll save SSFIV practice for tomorrow at Maddness.

@ Pat: You should really check out that Catherine tutorial on the front page of SRK. It’s actually pretty good.

Agree with most of your tier list. Cyber Sub is still sketchy in my mind but maybe I haven’t given him a long enough try.

I’m also relatively peeved at seeing 4 out of my 4 mains on the top tiers you list. Damn.

Has anyone given any extensive thought to tag mode? I’ve been loving every second of it. Since the games are usually shorter, tag mode makes the match last quite a bit longer.

Quan Chi is that secret A tier character, calling it right now

@songohanX I’ll will

i wish i could do the mk9 tournament butsince mickey d’s like playing with peoples cash i cant hey @simplekiss u down for tag trollin again bro dat scorpion/reptile

i’m always down for tag team trolling.

Quan Chi really is the secret A tier character he’s sick. He just has quite the learning curve.

@ Quan: Well if you can’t make this tournament, there always the one at Game Nation next week. Since the owner has been passing out fliers and advertising, I think it’ll pull more entrants than the upcoming MK tourney at Maddness Gaming this Saturday.

@ SimpleKiss: That match you posted between PerfectLegend vs Tom Brady was pretty awesome. Didn’t realize MK got that technical at high level play.

I might actually stay home and practice today, rather than go to Maddness. I’m not sure how late they’ll actually be staying open for us.

Edit: Maddness is staying open until at least 10pm, so I’ll be going anyway.

I play Quan Chi for MK9. Top tier guys are Cage, Sub Zero, Katana, Kung Lao.

I play Sagat and Guy for SFIV. Urien and Alex for 3S. For Mahvel, I play She-Hulk, Ammy, Sentinel, Doom, Task.

I am excited to go to SC; I’m so sick of Utah. I know I’m bringing my TE stick but I’m not sure about consoles/TV. Grad school costs 68,000 dollars for out of state students. I’m pretty much trying to sell almost everything I own right now to build up some savings. (I can’t let go of my TE though. I love that thing.) I foresee myself going and playing casuals but as far going back home and testing out my combos in the lab; I’m not so sure. Ha.

Do you guys have AE in Columbia?

@awalk002: No, there arent any noteworthy arcades here in cola. Arcades are pretty much dead here, like it is in 90% of america.

AE comes out on June 7 on console but we no arcades tho. Damn, grad school is hella expensive.
