Don’t flatter yourself with that. That was my response to you only getting one point for atleast winning one match. While some random guy getting top 16 without winning any matches there got the same amount. Personally I don’t give a damn about you getting a point. But congrats anyway.
spent some time with noob saibot and scorpion in training mode and scorps is a beast on pressure more than half of his combos are safe but his specials are another thing and noob is easily dealt with inside of sweep range so im gonna have to find a new zoner
ok smoke and scorpion all the way now i ahve two chars who i can manage to take 30% of life away without x ray
The flattery and self ego rubbing has already been done prior to reading this
That aside i dont think getting 1 point is that big of a deal either, but its the principal behind it thats important to me…hence me still wanting to get dat paper.
In regards to MK…I thought Quan Chi would be a relatively uninteresting character but that vid that WorstGiefEver made has slightly changed my opinion on him…maaaaan…there are way too many characters i wanna look at in this game and still cant yet…sad times .
Last note…isnt Atl Revival this upcoming weekend?
This coming saturday, Byron.

Marcus, a person within our community named Elliot wants to use your modding services. He has an Xbox TE that he wishes to be modded. I’ve already told him your rates and whatnot so he is already understanding of it all. If he goes with it, I’ll more than likely come to Nashi with it in hand.
@ Cola: I just spoke with Mike at Maddness Gaming and he says he’ll keep the shop open late like usual for our Friday Night casuals. He also wants to hear our feedback on some ideas for the arcade and what else they can do for the competitive fighting scene. The casuals will still be free of course and hope some of you show your support.
The next CSC Battles will be scheduled on June 18th at Maddness Gaming. I’ll start making fliers and posting threads on different forums/sites soon. I’m expecting the turnout to be decent with AE, MK9, BBCS2, MvC3 and AH3 being in the lineup! There will also be MULTIPLE test made during our friday casuals up until this event because I want these matches recorded.
Also, what do you guys think about having tournaments at Game Nation where the 70/20/10 pot split is handed to each player via visa debit card? I’m personally not too fond of the idea, since it may deter a lot of out of town players from attending our events. If this is something many of us locals may want to do, then I’ll start speaking with owner and coordinating the event.
First Priority that should be on Madness’ List - and this isn’t even me being biased.
Get a fucking DDR/PIU machine. It literally sells itself.
Onward towards other business. Keyon called me on skype on Justin Denning’s IPAD and we had this conversation about potential tournaments at Game Nation. Though, since most of the talk about it came from Icege, I will let him say the words that so graciously came from his own mouth. Mind you that I agree with his opinion.
My OWN opinion? Money is money and as long as I can spend it any place I want at any time I want, then who cares?
So this friday
You can voice it, especially since I was in a haze and can barely remember anything from this weekend aside from “Mortal + Kombat = Hype” T.T
@Thomas: Which version of the TE does he have? Just for reference as to what board I need to buy, if necessary.
Also: hellz yeah they need a DDR/PiU machine up in that bitch. My two cents on that stuation.
And about the tourney winnings thing: in-store credit is much overrated. If they have nothing you want, you’re sitting on money you can’t use til the next time you go there (whenever that may be). So a prepaid debit card seriously doesn’t sound all that bad.
Now back to my regularly scheduled shooting spree…
It’s not store credit. It’s like a visa debit card type thing. Meaning that it can be used anywhere. However, for those that like dat paper, it’s going to be a very hard sell point. About the TE, I’ll have to ask him. I did forget that there are specific ones.
@Jaguar: About maddness, my opinion as far as the arcade goes, im not exactly sure what kinda business that arcade is suppose to attract. Its been a pretty well known fact for years now that arcades are on the verge of extinction because just about any experience that can be found at an arcade can also be found in the comfort of your own home. (outside of socializing). Most arcades that barely exist, only do so because they have access to things that cant be found at home. Like DDR, or SSF4:AE (which wont be for very long). Unfortunatly these machines are extremely expensive and arent conducive to a small business start up. Honestly i dont really have any helpful opinions on this matter, just observations. Plus i dont want this post to turn into a wall of text but it probably will.
So Sunday I put in some face time with MK9 and have notice a few things. First off i think that the “Prima’s guide” assesment of characters are a bit off. I’ll avoid from going in to too much detail but after testing most of the characters and extensivly practicing Cyber subzero I’ll have to disagree with that guide about character placement. Also, im not to crazy about MK’s “dial a combo” system. It feels very awkward and most the time i almost feel like im mashing out combo’s I’ve never been to fond of systems like that. I suppose it gives you time to think in between actions but makes the game seem really slow once you’ve memorized combo’s.
I also found what seems to be an unintentional shortcut. I’ve only tested this on cyber-sub zero but I imagine it probably works for Sonya as well. When inputting for their dive kick, the in-game move list denotes that you have to in put “Down + LK/HK”. This can of course be combo from a normal j.LK/HK. However you can still get the dive kick to come out after j.LK by simply inputting “down”.
Example: Instead of - HP, LP, LP+HP,** j.HK, Down+HK**
Input - HP, LP, LP+HP,** j.HK, Down**
MK has a very delayed negative edge. So when you’re hitting down after the j.HK, the game thinks you’re still hitting HK. Its great for situations like that, but there are others that this negative edge issue drove me INSANE with.
Other than that MAN I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Now if only there were someone to play with here…
@ Eskay: I really don’t think Cyber Sub Zero is that bad either. People just need to give him more time. Beside my obvious main Ermac, I’m actually thinking about playing Smoke or even Jax. Although neither of these characters are better than “I easily take 60% of your life” Ermac, they’re still fun to use. I almost finished story mode in one sitting, but I kept switching between AH3, MK9 and BBCS yesterday.
You hear about Soulja Boi. He’s retiring from making music
I’m sure Phillip would be upset to hear this trollface.jpg
One down, many more to go.
