About Madness and Game Nation: Are we going Friday? The world would like to know. Also make it more of a Lan center. I really like when I go to Tournament center of Augusta or What Greenville used to have because they have 12-15 360 with monitors(no lag) or tv’s. all we would have to bring would be is games and maybe HDD for 360. If you need me to expand on this more let me know. Maybe we should have a MK9 tourney at Game Nation in May to test out the venue?
About ATL Revival: Who is going? Who is trying to drive? I would prefer not to drive and I’ll give u money 4 gas. I just want everything settled before Saturday. Allso we should be on the road by 9am because I think there trying to start on time becuase they have 3 big games(MK9,Super, Marvel) to play thru. Also I think it would be a good idea to bring a Blazeblue set because of last time. I hope everybody get decent practice in the games they play in and do well.
About CEO: I’m about to book hotels so i need some info? Who is going( I dont want maybe I want definite)? Who is driving? What day do you want to go( I want to go Wednesday)? If yall want to be cool and going somewhere in Orlando(eq. Disney World, Universal Studios,etc)? I would like to make a budget for the trip so people will have a idea about money? Also If you book a hotel for 2day or more you get a free pass. I’m booking a room and somebody else could book a room if the community needs it. If you need me to expand, let me know. I will book my room by Friday.

I will not be going to CEO, and if I go to Atlanta Revival, I wont be there till late and not competing because of work. I probably wont go at all though, considering that saturday morning will be stressful for me like it always is.
Just in case y’all didn’t know…
MK should always be ran on PS3 in tournaments for the time being. Other than the obvious reasons like controller issues, there is a bug in the 360 version that affects offline play. Basically, on 360, any patches that are applied to the game are only active when you are signed into XBL. The game has already been patched twice I believe, taking things out like infinites etc. Thankfully the PS3 version does not have this bug. Anyways, just a heads up :).

Since PSN has been down since Wednesday I guess y’all sony people can play this game:GOaLYL. I heard it really good but it has some hard levels.

Well CEO for me is looking like a no go. Not so a money issue, more so just some things that I feel if I don’t get I shouldn’t go. Plus this saddens me to say this. But I think I’ll rather go to Animazement. (Did I spell that right).
I already want to participate in the festivities that is Community Effort Orlando 2011. However, by the lack of enthusiasm from our community, it seems like those of us that are excited about it are limited to a few. … And out of those few, there are even less that are actually gaining morale off of entering the tournament of their respective game. With all of that in mind, who -really- want to go to CEO? By that I mean go for what it is for - a major video game tournament. I understand that some want to go to Orlando for the sake of Orlando. That some want to go just because it is yet another place to hang out and chill.
…News Flash. That is not what the tournament is for. You can get that kind of thing in your ordinary, everyday life. Do not use the tournament as an excuse.
It goes without saying that the general populace isn’t attending, which is leading to the idea of us going being a futile one. Should this fall through, I’ll continue where I left off with my plans to attend Animazement with Jared. It would be unfortunate… but at least the community understands the point of an anime convention.

Well Thomas pretty much said most of the reason I don’t want to go. Animazement is looking way more interesting by the minute to me. I’m been losing excitement for CEO everyday.

Id love to go to CEO personally…but whether or not i actually DO go is gonna depend on what the funds look like around the time of the tournament…so i cant say “yes im going” or “no im not going” until closer to the date…with that said…i guess to answer Dwaine’s post, im one of those “maybe’s” you dont wanna hear from right now.
As for ATL revival…thats also something id like to attend since i need to defend my title. As of now, Mike is also trying to go but is trying to get off of work.
@AwardTour: I’ve already paid for my registration, so I’m going to CEO. I also don’t plan on doing anything there besides attending the tournament (I’ll be hunting for game rooms all weekend). We’ll only need one hotel from the looks of things right now and I can leave on Thursday.
For ATL Revival, I don’t have enough money for an oil change to drive there and gas. I can help someone with gas but that’s about it. If no one is able/wants to drive down to ATL Revival then I’ll just have to miss it.
I’m also going to Maddness on Friday and I’ll speak with the owner of Game Nation tomorrow since most of you don’t mind the idea of having tournaments there.

Gonna try and keep this short as possible since im not really in the mood for typing large blocks of text after dealing with this Sony debacle.
ATL Revival: Im going, im driving, and those that intend to ride with me, i will be asking for gas money. Round trip is about 460 miles which is about a tank and a half for my car when factoring in pickups and drop offs. Against my better judgement I havnt cancelled my debit card, I simply ordered a new one and am praying i dont get jacked by the time it arrives.
CEO: This is literally 46 days away. No one is talking about it because not everyone can just instantly make a commitment to go. Getting down over this kind of situation seems silly. Not everyone has the luxerary to schedule their lives around a tourny. It also doesnt help that Animazement is closer in terms of date/location. So i imagine for those that get bored easily its a very appealing option. That being said, i’ve already stated that i’ve taken PTO days off for CEO. I have no intentions of committing money to this though until I get the new debit card and also we settle on whether or not we’re going
