while that may be true, it took 5 iterations for capcom to finally fix it when it’s been known since vanilia SF4. Even worse considering they took the time to fix other glitches or issues with other characters.
It’s just a little silly to see how capcom overall treats things.
ugh, airborne on 1F is SO dumb. Makes it a no brainer to basically ALWAYS try and do F+HK if you suspect a frame trap or throw attempt because it’s so safe vs both.
I wanna know why Capcom INSISTS on doing either airborne 1F (stupid) or airborne 8F (weak) but can’t just… O’ I dunno… meet in the middle and make it a very useful but not obnoxious move?
This is exactly what I want for F+HK
Airborne 4F-24F (the frames he is lower body invincible)
Able to hit crouching opponents
damage nerfed from 110 damage 200stun to 80-90 damage 150stun.
BAM. Instantly becomes a useful but fair tool. Can be followed up if you are fast to increase damage to 210 or so. is able to be used in footsies to actually BEAT a low and wont result in a full combo if the opponent does a crLP. Can be used at specific ranges to blow up both crouch and stand tech. However the damage is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than previously, and it can’t be used as a wakeup tool to avoid throws / get air reset out of frame traps.
It further emphasizes Cody as a strong on offense weak on defense character.
The USFIV Suggestions thread at Capcom Unity isn’t being forwarded to people that need to see them. And i’m wondering if the lesser played characters have gotten the proper suggestions, i mean only a select few people have attended these location tests. They literally ONLY take feedback at the location tests it seems and eventhough alot of characters had a chance to to get good buffs if the suggestions for the characters were looked at properly in the characters suggestion threads months ago. However i have to be honest, it seems to me they just skimmed through it and that is it.
Just going to send a mail to Combofiend in the hopes he actually reads them.
I take f.HK airborne on frame 1 any day of the week unless we get some other nifty buffs that make him more consistent. Seriously, that buff is nothing compared to some ridiculous buffs other characters have received (hello Ken).
I agree. The shit that other characters are getting at this point sadly justifies a ridiculous buff like this. Shows you how crazy this version is going to be.
…here’s to hoping we get a walkspeed buff…which is justified regardless of other character’s buffs.
Yup, seems like it. Which, apparently, makes it both a decent defensive option, something to beat stand-teching with, and provides a decent offensive gimmick in corpse hopping in addition to the other stuff the moves does?
As others have pointed out repeatedly, it’s pretty silly to make a command normal do all of those things, but if we don’t get anything else, I’ll just take that. I still think a small walkspeed buff would be in place, though.
