I wish there was a way to just buy the fucker for digital download and be done with it. I’m not interested in their streaming service. Gee whiz, what will a person ever do? 
I didn’t like Kreese coming back at the very end. That creates an artificial problem for Season 2 that was already occurring in Miguel and Hawk.
I didn’t like the way they wrote him in at the end.
I was much more interested for Johnny to figure out the 4th lesson of Cobra Kai on his own and try to get it into the hormone addled brains of those two teenagers.
Also, they could branch out into modern MMA and get their asses kicked lol.
Instead, first, we have to get through the problem of Kreese. We all thought he was dead (based on Johnny’s testimony).
I’m hoping they take the time to write it well, because it definitely can be a good problem.
I feel like it creates a filler story to push the resolving of the 4th lesson of Cobra Kai to the end of season 2.
It’s obviously gonna be a New Cobra Kai vs. Old Cobra Kai angle, with some Miyagi-Do thrown in the middle for obvious drama (Miguel/Sam).
Kreese already smells blood in the water, and is probably gonna use Miguel and Hawk’s newfound aggression to bring the old ruthless Cobra Kai into life, while Johnny is gonna want to stray away from all that…while not pushing his students away to Daniel’s dojo.
Just been catching up to this and done on ep1. Out of all the remakes and sequels they made from my childhood, gotta say this show is the best ever! Worth spending monedy.
I know alot of the majority out there loved top gun but iron eagle is the one I grew up with on betamax. Loved the reference.
Sorry about those who expeced william and ralph having beer bellies flying. Those two really looked good at their age.
Mike Barnes might be coming back. Sean Kanan is being teased for season 2.

The actor for Mike Barnes already confirmed he’d be in Season 2…albeit he did it before Season 2 itself was ever confirmed but he might’ve been given a verbal commitment in case of it being greenlit.
It’s interesting how Mike Barnes will fit into Cobra Kai since his character was basically a hired gun who had no real “connection” to Daniel or Johnny. I also hear fans want Chozen to come back and the actor that played him might be open to that opportunity. If they brought back Chozen, you could go down three paths with his character. A japanese version of Johnny, a bum, or a businessman.
Love this series as super young kid growing up in the 80s, Karate Kid was talked about all the time when I was in Kindergarten (87 I think) and I’m just so happy that my generation is the one that many are trying to cater to in terms of movies (although most have made a habit of turning what was once great into trash…I’m looking at you Transformers, and the awful TMNT movies).
However this to me has been an absolute success, the acting is great, the tension is awesome, even down to the funny moments and jokes.
Johnny is hilarious and Daniel will always cater to me more (that’s because I could relate to some of the bullying he had to deal with when I was a really young kid) and the two’s chemistry in this series is absolutely spot on.
Cobra Kai putting in a new set of development to Johnny makes it all the more reason why he was always, Always my favorite “Antagonist” to Daniel because at the end, he was never fully a bad person, just put in a crappy situation with as Daniel says “a lot demons.”
I’m so happy for a Season 2, and I’m stoked, and lastly, damn, the Larusso Milf and daughter…Wow!

Just finished the whole season 1. Gotta say this is one of the best series I’ve seen. This is how you do a reboot or sequel. Gotta respect the original.
Great story, acting and nostalgia galore.
Speaking of nostalgia, I like robbie’s character but he needs to get rid off that jonathan taylor thomas hair. Also Miguel looks badass with the black gi.
Ralph and William deserve at least an emmy nomination.
The high rating it deserves. Worth every peso I spent.
Can’t wait for season 2.

Season 2 can’t come fast enough.
I’m such a huge fan, and because of this, it’s made me go back and watch The Karate Kid again, and it only makes me sad but also amazed at just how great Pat Morita really was as an Actor. When you hear him really speak outside of the movie, he’s absolutely fluent in English.
To me, Mr. Miyagi is one of the Greatest Mentors within a movie of all time. The more I watch it, the more I simply appreciate his character and just how well developed he really is.

Karate Kid Part 2 is my favorite in the series because it’s Miyagi’s story. He’s easily the best character in the series. I don’t expect anything from the second movie to carry into this show. I guess I can hope for is to hear about what Miyagi did after the film series before dying.

Yep. This series is just like one whole great tribute to pat. He should’ve won that oscar. Ep 5 was just like cutting onions.
Really huge difference when a writer/director loves their work.

Miyagi is one of the greatest characters in movie history. I also like the fact that the character was inspired by Fumio Demura. He and Pat Morita were close friends and he was even Pat’s stunt double in the films.

Yea and the story of how originally Pat Morita was ridiculed by the producer of the Karate Kid because he was a comedian.
Then months later when they took video auditions that same fucking producer was responded to Morita with “That’s the best one!” and the director shoved him face in it.
Some people are just idiots who got lucky with money.

Finally got to see this and this is the most bad ass show Ive seen in a long ass time. There is so much to say so Ill try to keep it as brief as possible.
Firstly I liked both William Zabkas acting and how they portrayed Johnny. Zabka sold it really well, and you really gotta feel for Johnny.
I like also how Daniel san comes off as a bit of a dick, the success got to him but he redeemed himself near the end.
I definitely thought that’s it for Miguel as soon as the other kid showed up. props to @Biolink2 for the young val kilmer. Aint no way Diaz gonna compete with that shit.
I was a little disappointed, that the white kid had to be the “hero” and the cobra kai kid had to be the bad guy once again… Im stilling shipping samiguel and I hope things work out for them in the end…
speaking of which… I think Hawk might end up going to the dark side and join reese. This will leave young Margot Robbie (Hawsk GF who is pretty damn hot) to go for Robbie.
I also agree that reese shouldnt be anywhere near the show. What makes this show work is the dynamic between Johnny and Dan and what appears to be a budding friendship near the end. I think this needs to be - and will be - explored in season 2.
Also where have I seen Dans wife before? she seems familiar… anyways cant wait for season 2!
