Also, why the HELL is Ragnarok so slept on!? One good combo ending with a Ragnarok take up maybe half a meter and racks up so much damage. Every combo should end with Ragnarok.
Edit: Then I realize he has two Lvl 3s. -__-

Video’d.
Would anyone be kind enough to list me some dirty ass incoming mixups with Dark Strider?
I’ve got Form A2 > Wall Cling > Dive Kick; Bomb + Teleport and a couple others I figured out after messing around in the Danger Room, but still looking to increase my dimensions on incoming
:h: vajra + formation C can cross up on incoming. Instant double jump :h:, j.:l: xx :l: excalibur are both instant overheads. Teleport, j.:l: xx forward j.:h: is either a crossup or not depending on timing, as well as a double overhead. But they can pushblock there.
Dash under s.:h: can cross up like Magneto’s launcher, and plink dashing with Strider underneath them can be done at least 2-3 times (but you risk getting hit by their buttons).
If you press a wall normal, you can also cancel into a:l: excalibur to dismount off the wall without doing the unsafe dismount. Useful since you can also take to the air with :h: excalibur, or potentially set up a crossup with an assist with excalibur. Wall cling :h: xx :l: excalibur is also less finnicky to combo after on a standing opponent than just ending with :h:. If you have a low assist, you can sometimes set up unblockables with wall clings that can’t be pushblocked, but you have to do wallcling :l:
xx :l: excalibur.
I figured I would go around and post this on character forums so folks can check it out:
I feel awesome that I knew most of that tech already Kiku, still thanks for putting it out there.
Bird Bomb - Dash Under - Teleport M or Teleport L for fakeouts
Bird Bomb - Wall Cling (Basic)
Bird Bomb - Wall Cling - Instant dismount (double crossup; can be a triple if you dash back under them in time)
(Midscreen w/Formation B equipped) Bird Bomb - Ame-no-Murakame H xx Formation B shot as they come in (my current favorite setup and excellent to use post snap)
(On Character KO, preferrably near the corner) Bird Bomb - Delayed Bird Bomb - Wall Cling - Wall Cling LM xx Excalibur L - c.L (Can become exceptionally multilayered with a lockdown assist like Jam Session or Cold Shots, or set up disgusting unblockable setups with High or Low hitting assists.)
Assist - Wall Cling - Wall Switch/Wall Cling M xx Excalibur M
hey all new to strider. just want to know 2 things one combo to learn while regular (bnb i guess?) and one combo while lvl 3 ouroboros. the rest ill look up myself. i see many combos in the combo thread and dont know which to pick
I just started playing Strider/Zero/Doom.
You guys think it can work? Zero’s uppercut assist is really good for Strider and all of Dooms assists are.
I like Rocks best, but they don’t suit Zero well.
It’s the most fun I’ve had with the game so I’m gonna try and make it work.
Zero/Doom/Strider would make more sense but… meeehhh.
Good theme team.
Are you replying to me?
If so, I don’t know what that means… >_<
Strider can do work with Missiles or Plasma Beam, too. Plasma Beam gives him the usual mix-ups you’d expect from a beam and some easy combo extensions. Missiles are missiles.
Strider has some fancy raw tag combos to Zero that lead into lightning loops and dead characters. I think you’re probably better off starting with just a basic combo that ends with a DHC from Legion to Sougenmou into Lightning Loops.
Another thought is to play the team in a way that involves Strider -> Doom TAC infinites. That way you build a ton of meter for either Strider or Zero to use.
You could accomplish this by changing the order to Strider/Doom/Zero. If Strider dies early, you’d be looking to Photon Array -> Sougenmou to fix your order, though.
You can also accomplish it by ordering Strider/Zero/Doom and carefully adjusting your combos. If you use Zero’s assist shortly before TAC’ing, it’ll skip Zero in the line-up and TAC directly to Doom.
Just some ideas. I’m not sure how good your execution is, but there’s some fun combo potential with the team for sure.
Thanks for the advice.
I like the idea of using Zero assist before TACing to get Doom.
My execution is decent. Nothing in this game has been too challenging execution-wise, so far.
Need to relearn LLs and gotta Learn Doom infinite. I’ve had no problem with other TAC infinites.
Really need to check out those raw tag combos in LL. Sounds really useful.

Theme team. Like if you wanted to use all street fighters. If you changed doom out ond used stryder, nova, zero, they would all be space warriors.
Wow, Sick. Thanks man. Gonna learn that. :3
Oh I see, haha. I actually really like Nova and considered it, but I feel like I kinda need a beam assist.
Nova/Dormammu/Shuma = Ultimate Space Team!
I don’t think I that I have seen that combination before. Interesting.
Saw the above zero raw tag and decided to steal it for Vergil:

I’m a strider scrub but I’m enjoying using strider/iron fist/ strange (in that order) does anyone have any tips or anything about strider.
also yes I’ve seen Joesph use this team at WSO
thanks in advance.
Made a small video highlighting a silly mixup I’ve been using lately on midscreen incoming.

It was supposed to be one part of a general mixup video I was going to make, but I think everyone knows how Strider’s mixups on incoming work by now.
Made a video of Strider that shows some guard breaks, his instant overhead, options with formation B, and fuzzy guard stuff. For his fuzzy guard if they push block just delay Strider’s aerial attacks to connect when he’s near the ground & dash when he lands.
