Dante/Vergil/Strider

I don’t get why people are talking up Strider/Vergil as a duo. That’s not any type of duo lol. That’s just two strong point characters on the same team really. I see nothing between them that really makes them some super good duo (i.e Strider/doom Wolvie/Akuma).
Can people not use Strider/Dante/Vergil please… that’s my team. If Strider, Dante, Vergil doesn’t work, i’ll use Zero,Strider, Task or something like that. 
SDV is going to be annoying if that shit ends up being a good team because you basically have to deal with invincible sword normals throughout the whole team. LOL.
So you don’t think a completely safe lockdown assist like Rapid Slash will be awesome for Strider at all? Vergil is an anchor, not really a point character.

well the main problem i see with Dante/Vergil/Strider is if you lose Dante early.
Cypher/Rebellion/Yamato, baybee!

Yamato - Vergil
Falchion - Hiryu
Mmmm, not seeing that either. Dante will have enough backup to keep himself covered to build meter. And if he does die, what’re you left with? Strider/Vergil? Yeah that’s not bad by any means. It’ll be fiiiiiinnnne.
LOL. Yeah I was thinking about that. I guess the best bet would be to have Vergil in the back and just spend as little meter as possible between Dante and Strider. Tehnically Dante and Strider can kill characters just off resets after bnbs but if you dont get into a good position or something flubs up after the reset they’re gonna spend meter and kill you off for sure.
Strider’s Cypher is named Falchion. Cypher is the generic name of the sword, which is used by all the Striders.

Meh, I’m just screwing around. This is mostly speculation at this point, as we could possibly have no idea what the final build of UMvC3 is like, so the potential for this team may be gone by then. Everyone is entitled to their points ofc, but I personally think that people doubting this team (at least at this point in the builds) aren’t reading or thinking enough. Nothing to get mad about though.
While i digg your Av and tempted to grabbing it, I popped this SDV topic first. It belongs to me :mad: I will make an Av soon when i have time off work or something.
All jokes aside, if this team doesn’t work for me (meaning it’s too over used), i still have Zero and Taskmaster as an option. I really hope vergil says “we shall triumph” after he ends his assist, just like dormammu because that line is so bad ass (bad ass x a million in Dormammu’s tone of voice).
Strider, Dante, Vergil seems so well rounded and definetly not scrub friendly. It seems you need to learn how to play their synergy in comparison to brain dead wolverine/akuma teams. What attracts me about this is the amount of options this team has, all three men have teleports good range, mobility, great supers and great assists to help each other out. It has the look and the kick ass gameplay. Im seriously psyched about this team and i am 98% of using it as a main.
My second team will be X-23/Rocket/Sentinel or X23/Zero/Sentinel (i need to keep my Vanillas alive some how).
I’m not gonna lie, I’m in it for the Dante/ Vergil. Strider is like icing. But I dunno. I just think managing meter is gonna be a little more tight with Vergy on any team but jeah I don’t see why it couldn’t work.
I think the best team name for Strider, Dante, Vergil is team “Nerd hype”.
