HE IS STRIDER. He has always been high risk/high reward. What you’re asking for is for the risk to be taken away, but for the reward to stay. I don’t actually want to play a character with no weaknesses. I like Strider because of the risk. It forces you to be focused to see results.
And sorry, but you cannot just slap whatever characters together in a team and complain that they have no synergy. If you’re trying to use 3 glass cannons on a team, that’s your fault. This is a team game. You have to consider composition if you want to get results.
And then get Standing :h:, and killed off one combo.

There is going to be SO MANY bad Strider players. Even more than Wolverine, Dante, and Wesker. So, you can only imagine the bitch storm that will come if people are already complaining about his health WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING HIM.
What really gets to me is people have spent the last year or so complaining over and over about the lack of Strider.
All people wanted in this game was Strider. Fuck, I was one of those people pushing hard for Strider.
And now that we finally have Strider all people are doing is finding things to complain about.
Orbs, health. Whatever the problem of the day is.
I know the internet thrives on hate, but come on, fuck the complaining and let’s concentrate on how fucking awesome Strider is.

I personally think we should hold out on any further demands for buffs or anything of the sort until at least this weekend is over. People going to EVO will have some good hands on time with him so now that the initial “HOLY SHIT WE GOT STRIDER” phase is over we can really get down to business and see what he’s really all about. (at least as much business as we can get in a weekend until the game actually comes out lol.)
My hype is still strong, but people are clutching at stupidly minor issues to complain about rather than focusing on all the buffs he got.

I reckon there are gonna be much better assists for Strider than Doom this time round. I’m thinking stuff like low assists for unblockables while they’re pinned down with orbs. Can’t fucking wait to see.

I’m thinking of hulk as another potential candidate for a team. Hulk’s V.Gamma is good at getting people of you, and his gamma wave is alright. I also have some good expectations with Nova, Nemesis, and even Rocket Raccoon.

Strider/Dante/Task sounds like a good team. Date for his Vertical assist, and Task for horizontal… i think it pairs strider with two good assists and two versatile partners, plus the loved Sword-Man theme. Hopefully, taskmaster has a matching alt.
I also predict Vergil being a popular team character.

Well whatever. I’ll use strider no matter what… i’m still in the decision of having Zero on the team, it’s just i’m seeing/thinking of characters that may provide better for strider as assists.
Hulk, Dante, Task, Ironman, Spider man also seems like a cool team due to the MVC history… then there is ghost rider who i hope has a good vertical screen assist or a get me off assist.
oh, didn’t some one say that Doom’s rock assist got buffed up?
