With Ryu, I’ve imagined:

  • Tatsumaki ending as a bound spike. (Remember how his Tatsumaki was in EX3? That.)
  • Shoryuken as an (unsafe, but effective) launcher
  • Hadouken as a decent combo finish
  • Hadouken as an unblockable (like Jinpachi’s…but I don’t think that is a very good idea)
  • Close range hadouken that causes wall splat. Could be used to pressure near walls (like ST Ryu)
  • cr.mk could be a great low poke, like Alisa’s (which would probably piss me off…lol)
  • cr.rh could be a sweep launcher
  • I could also see them linking some of his normals as wall carry strings, NC’s, and NCC’s.

…I have a few other ideas though…

GGs last night to Adam/Kam in tekken, Kris/Half-Brandon in ssf4, and to Matt is 3s at the end of the night.

Special thanks to Sluch and Kam for showing me some Asuka stuff and general tekken basics/mindset. I just saw a coupon in the cleveland thread that has Tekken 6 for $9.99 at best buy, so i’m gonna be picking that shit up again for sure. Phil, I will most likely be requesting to play with you in the coming weeks.

Honestly. Tekken is fun UNTIL you are hit with one of these moves. Not trying to discourage any newer players though…lol.

::EDIT:: I really only despise that Bruce combo because it is soooooooo long and sooooooo easy. Yeah its damaging, but I cringe when Lars get a wall combo.
