Cincinnati OH, Dayton OH, and Northern Kentucky: I have the best Wesker!

But it’s EA, that version will be a secondary money grabber. They won’t even improve it. And extra content = asking you how would you would have completed ME1, so you kinda have continuity.

Heh. But see whats going to happen after they go past the original planned 3 games, then start putting them on consoles/handhelds that cant handle the full base experience. It will affect the charm once there’s 10 different ME titles, with most of them being IP fodder.

I just had my hopes on having ONE good series that didn’t go to shit.

This is why I stopped buying Smackdown VS RAW. My dumb ass had 2007 on PS2 and 360, I had 2008 on 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii, and had 2009 on 360 and PS3. In those years you would only find me playing Test Drive or Smackdown. They either took shit out or make made very minimal goood changes, so I did not buy 2010, and am on the road to also not buy 2011. It’s fuckin retarded, you hack the game and find moves/wrestlers still in the game that they “took out” for no-good reason. Sometimes enough is enough.

I have nothing to play until Fallout Vegas and Fable 3 anyway. I just hope Fallout Vegas isn’t nearly as buggy as Fallout 3.

As long as ME3 is good – since it was planned as a trilogy – EA can take it over and churn out shit as long as they want IMO. It won’t change what BioWare accomplished and how fun those games are to reply. Kind of like how Star Wars is terrible now, but if I watch the Trilogy I can just pretend all the crap doesn’t exist.

I’d say I’m excluded from the people duped by Madden every year, considering the last time I bought it was in 2003.

I’m with Adam on the Star Wars mess actually…

Majority of Star Wars games have been pretty solid. Only terrible Star Wars games I can think of off hand was that fighter on ps1 (which I still want to play) and maybe some of the GBA/DS ports of main console games.

TYPICALLY a Star Wars games accomplishes being a fun, challenging, solid game, with a few being great. The Star Wars plat-formers/shooters on SNES, Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire on N64, Rogue Leader on GC, the Battlefront Games(don’t care what you think, they’re just fun, especially as party games), KOTOR, and Force Unleashed is supposed to be pretty good too. Hell, supposedly even the Lego Star Wars games are good to, so seriously, Star Wars is one of the few movie based franchises that puts out solid stuff on a regular basis.

EDIT:

Also forgot…lol console warz. We’re all over 17 now, right folks? Can we be grown up about this and admit it’s all a business? Know what you like, buy what you like, enjoy what you like, regardless of what system it’s on.

I played some of Force Unleashed and it was a pretty paint-by-numbers game, not very engaging. The story seemed interesting honestly though. LEGO SW are the same, they’re pretty repetitive and boring IMO.

SW games were among the best GAMES period in the industry 10-20 years ago, and KOTOR brought that back last decade one time (because of BioWare, not LucasArts internally).

Alright, I need to retract the star wars statement. The snes star wars games (super star wars/return of the jedi/empire strikes back) were all awesome. Shadows of the Empire was cool, but Dash Rendar is a shitty spinoff char. Also the controls sucked.

Masters of Teras Kasi is good in the “really shitty game” sense. Lightsabers are busted.

I really guess I underestimated just how many Star Wars games there are. I also like Dark Forces/Jedi Knight/Jedi Knight 2 a lot, so yeah. Taking most of what I said about the games back, but the movies past the original trilogy still exist!!

Wait Star Wars was good? Maybe I’m not being true to my nerd roots but Stars Wars has always been lame as hell, ESPECIALLY the original trilogy. Starkiller is, to me, by FAR the coolest thing to ever be introduced to the universe. So cool in fact it almost feels like he doesn’t belong. It’s like tossing Dante into the Kingdom Hearts games.

Just as an interest check, who has anything going on tomorrow afternoon? I’ve got the house to myself till like 11pm and was interested to see if anyone wanted to drop by and get some games in?

I’ve literally got nothing going on and I hate battling my ghetto-ass internet to try and play matchmaking.

Anyone who is interested post up or text me.

Anyone want to see SCOTT PILGRIM for FREE on Thursday afternoon? I’ve got two more tickets. First two to respond can join us for free. Anyone else is welcome to come certainly but will have to pay like normal human beings. Ricky and I are going to the 1:45pm show at the theater right next to AL and then straight over to AL afterwards. So for those few of you who come to the arcade early, I won’t be there until about 3:50pm.

Can I pimp real quick? Justin Wong is confirmed for Columbus Bar Battles 3.

yesyesyesyes

That’s one. Who will claim the other?

@Cbus - Nice job getting Wong. I wish I could be there. My TVs will be there in my place.

me ill take it

Dammit. I was too late. I still wanna go see it with you guys though.

I’m busy til Friday, pretty much, but Aaron is having people over at his new apartment on Friday night. If you’re free I can swing by to pick you up on my way to his place and we can chill there for a bit for some games. This invite is open to anyone in the Dayton area as long as nothing comes up for me on Friday.

On the EA vs Activision debate, EA was pretty terrible like 5+ years ago, but they’ve been getting better. They housed Harmonix after Activision bought out Guitar Hero and turned it to shit while EA published glorious Rock Band. Double Fine is there too, which may or may not excite anyone, but I like Tim Schafer. And Dead Space was tight.

Basically Activision today is what EA was years ago: buying everything out and destroying good franchises.

As for Mass Effect going to PS3, its always been on PC, dunno why its such a big deal if its going to another console since its already multi-platform.

So Brandon and Keith FTW! I’ll be at the theater around 1:40. I don’t like to wait around the theater. Get the tickets, get in. If you want snacks, show up early and get em. Don’t be late. I hate missing the previews. Kris, I’ll give you first dibs next time. Please do come though. If I can talk Derek into going, maybe we can get you in as well. He’s pretty adamant about not seeing the movie for some reason.

Will definitely be there right on time. I have been looking forward to this movie for awhile and there’s no way I’d ruck up seeing it for free. Much obliged broham.

I’m glad someone else can see that Rock Band is clearly superior. I’m quite bitter that EA could have could have done some amazing shit with the Skate series, but after one great game it became Tony Hawk all over again.

…someone wanna send (2:07 - 2:16) as a homo-genius clip? It’s that Daigo factor…
