haha i never knew exKikouken would juggle
i was in training and i realize that u can combo u1 from an counter hit cl.hk by fadcing it, dunno if it worth the meter…
^ How do you get the charge for that and land the counter hit at the same time?
-Anyway, here’s a stupid, meter wasting, side-switching combo (But it looks flashy):
(Back to the corner)
B+MK, B+MK, FADC, *2nd dash, EX Legs, EX Legs, Ultra 1
*Buffer in EX Legs during the 2nd dash
…I can’t think of any real use for this that you couldn’t just do Super or Ultra instead. Like even if your back was to the corner and you avoided and countered your opponent with Jumpback FP x 2 or Jumpback HK while he’s on the ground, you could just hit confirm that into super or Ultra instead.
They whiff an unsafe special move? Just super or ultra instead.
I don’t think gaining position in the corner is worth spending all of your meter.
Continuing with the weird combos theme, here’s a quick trivia question for fun:
What move(s) combos into far St. HK?
like i said i was in training mode with counter hit on and hit the dummy with the cl.hk (with charge, holding back), fadc, ultra (just input the dash ultra, from back to F, F, hcf, 3k)
as for the question maybe an AA Focus atack?
Hmm… that’s what I thought. So in order to land the CH on the opponent would pretty much require him to step into cl. HK range and stick out something slow, which is very unlikely.
Another way I can think of (which is also a stretch), is to charge while jumping in, get them to block a jumpin or something and then do a delayed cl. HK to fish for the counter hit.
Both would be extremely hard to land on an active opponent.
-Yup, Focus AA is one way to combo into far st. HK, but there are a couple more ways…
yep its impractical, and what are the other options?
The only other one I can think of is Focus Crumple backdash f.st.HK.
I’m not aware of any other normal of Chun’s which gives her enough frame advantage on hit to follow up with f.st.HK.
Unless you’re talking about combos, in which case anything ending in EX Kikoken FADC f.st.HK is probably plausible.
not in ryu tho; also following a lp kikoken into st.hk?
I’ve been out of the loop for awhile now, so I figured I’d post up asking about the latest Chun technology.
How viable is the legs loops as a punish? Assuming execution was a non-factor that is. I don’t have the game so I’m not too sure if it’s even damage/stun efficient. Also, are there any other new combos that have replaced her older ones?
Currently I still do jabs into fierce as my go-to hit-confirm, or shorts into EX Legs if I have meter to spare. Main punish is usually Cr. Fierce, HK Legs, MK Legs, sweep unless it’s a tight match and I want the guaranteed hit, in which case I do Cl. RH EX legs. If I’m feeling myself, Cl. RH, Legs, short, short, EX Legs.
Ultra punish is still Cl. RH, EX Legs, Ultra… right?
Thanks.
As an actual punish, the Legs loop is fine, I wouldn’t do more than two iterations of it though. That is, cr.HP xx HK Legs MK Legs > cr.HP xx HK Legs MK Legs > Sweep, is the farthest I would extend the combo. Anything beyond that is unnecessary and probably a waste of meter.
As a hit-confirm, I think most people still do the link into far fierce. If you don’t have the frames to do cr.HP, I think it’s still the best meterless combo.
As an Ultra punish though, I tend to just do raw Ultra if I have Ultra 1, but I will do cl.HK xx EX Legs > Ultra 2.
Does anyone use this as a big damage combo? cl.hk fadc cl.hk xx ex.ll U2? I have been playing around with it and it does really big damage cause of the lack of scaling of say cl.hk xx ex.ll , ex.sbk (corner) u2.
I know it’s a trial mode combo and those are typically not viable but this combo is great to tack on to a dp punish or w/e. Like i was saying it doesn’t scale super harsh and basically adds on free “jump in” type damage if you need to get 50 extra damage to a big combo at the end of the round without needing to be in the corner or have a jumpin.
Haha, I messed around with cl.HK FADCs in Training Mode but never bothered trying them in a real match. It might be useful as a match finisher (not a round finisher - I’d only use it if it would seal the match since it burns a ton of meter), but other than that I don’t see the use, plus burning two stocks of meter just to get in another cl.HK doesn’t seem worth it to me.
Points for style though, definitely.
Against bigger characters like Rufus, I’m 99% sure this works:
cl.HK FADC cl.HK FADC cl.HK xx HK Legs MK Legs > Sweep
Flashiness ftw lol.
I use that if I want to stun the other character.
Each Knee does 200 stun. So you can do:
Knee FADC Knee FADC Knee xx LK LL, st.fierce(On Ken, for example). It’s a lot of stun.
Stun damage scales too though, doesn’t it?
Nice information but i was expecting more data to compare ^^;;
Yes, it does scale.
Let me turn on my 360, one sec.
Cl.HK FADC Cl.HK FADC Cl.HK xx LK LL, St. Fierce does 373 damage and 722 stun.
If you’re really feeling yourself, try
cl.HK FADC cl.HK FADC cl.HK xx HK Legs MK Legs > Sweep on Rufus and tell us how much that does, lol.
I will do it eventually if it doesn’t get posted, but I’m at work and (unfortunately) cannot play.
It does 387 dmg. 774 stun.
If you’re gonna commit to burning the whole meter, just do cl. HK xx HK Legs instead because you get more frame advantage after a FADC than you would from just doing cl. HK. It’s a much easier hit confirm too.
Total damage from cl. HK xx HK Legs, FADC, cl. HK xx HK Legs, FADC, cl. HK xx HK Legs ~MK Legs, cr. HK is 415 damage and 824 stun.
was playing a hakan player the other day and i was going to do c.lp>c.lp>c.lp >lp> mp> kikoken
and the mp actually combo’d lol went straight into training mode but I haven’t been able to do it again at all i know it has to be on the 2nd active frame but it just don’t wanna work at all
I’ve done that many times in training, while learning to plink far hp. I actually assumed mp was the faster move and didn’t think anything of it. Looking at the frame data now, yeah, that last lp must be hitting on second active frame then. Interesting. I wonder if you can do that reliably on some characters.
