Also in training I found you can combo a fairly deep MP to lk on Sagat,Gief and Hawk, didn’t work on anybody else I tried, hardly groundbreaking but I didn’t know it so i thought I’d share, … also I been getting Firecracker by just using X and O on my PS pad, though I might need to go to the emergency room now for damaged nerve endings… (that’s how the mp lk thing showed itself).

Seriously though, people are sliding from hp, to 3-2-1-2-3!? (3 being hk) God damnit. This whole time I’d been learning to slide hp~3-2-1-1-2…
air to air j.hp -> EX Kikoken FADC Kikosho: 389 damage
air to air j.hp -> EX Kikoken FADC EX Legs Kikosho: 394 (?) damage
air to air j.hp -> EX Kikoken -> EX Legs -> EX SBK: 313 damage, only in corner
Neat haven’t seen ex kikoken used in a juggle combo before. I wouldn’t say any these are terribly useful tho.
I didn’t know that Kikoken even juggles, this is nice to know.
If you do both j.hp’s you only get 1 hit of the EX Kikoken. In the corner you can do j.hp -> EX Kikoken -> EX Legs -> ultra.
It is possible to get both hits from it, but its not really worth the meter IMO as a juggle move

This is probably a really scrubby noob thing to ask, but I’d really like to know what I’m doing wrong. Most of the time I combo into ll’s, and everything is fine.
Sometimes I combo into LL’s, it hits, but then knocks the opponent out of it and I eat a DP.
Wtf am I doing wrong? If I was randomly doing legs then fair enough, but I combo into it from a crouch normal and then eat a mashed out reversal on hit.
cause chun’s regular legs suck except when used in some specific situations…may depend on the distance, the character and whether he/she’s crouching or not. Just never combo into regular legs and you’ll be fine ;D
On the note of Kikoken juggling…
Anti-air MP Kikoken, dash EX Legs > U2 is a fucking SICK looking combo.
I’m not sure if it’s well known or not, but I found out its possible to land cl.rh xx rh SBK. Against some characters like ryu, it won’t fully combo against and you will likely eat some major punishment. But at least against dudley and a few others it comes out clean for some impressive damage. Cl.rh xx EX SBK works on everyone. Inputs are kinda strict, so I don’t know how viable it is in actual play.

They’re useless if you try to hitconfirm them from shorts and jabs cause you get punished almost every time…yea, maybe I should have said that
you could say that about every other move in the game. the situations where it becomes usefull come up quite often , well for me anyways n quite alot of other players, dont see how you can advise a chun player never to combo into regular legs.
as for off a jab , c.lp x cl.hk x legs x whatever works dose it not?
I think other combos would be better. I think jabx3 > Fierce does better damage. Only time I ever use regular legs is cr. fierce xx roundhouse legs and to build meter. It’s just better to use something else most of the time.
Speaking of, that Desk combo where he breaks the combo cap in Arcade mode is pretty sick.
Can you imagine having that shit done to you in a real match? I’d pull a Warahk and just turn on the Guile theme and walk out.
I don’t think I ever said that he shouldn’t combo into regular legs.
He said that when he combos into it from a crouched normal (I supposed he meant hitconfirming from c.LPs and c.LKs, if not, then my bad, but I never whiffed hits after a c.lp, cl.HK xx hk legs, so that’s probably not what he meant) sometimes he gets punished even if the combo hits. That’s because chun regular legs aren’t like honda’s or gen’s hands, so he shouldn’t use them even if the combo works on paper cause they often whiff some hits unless you combo them from point blank range.
When you don’t have meter for ex legs just finish the combo with a st.HP or c.mk.
I hope this makes clear what I meant.
