What helped me is knowing how slow is as slow as possible and still do dash ultra. Doing it fast, you need to be sure you are not making a mistake. Doing it slow, you need to make sure you are doing it fast enough. Finding the balance helps with consistency.
A trick for getting the feel of the timing is to see how far Chun can walk before she loses charge for her ultra. Notice the tiles in training mode, and count how many tiles she can move forward before you input <- -> KKK. It helped me feel more confident in how much time I actually had to actually do it (or maybe breaking it down helped me to think clearly in that specific time frame).
EX Kikouken combos, good damage and very nice stun, I had counter hit on while recording due to laziness (ch cl.hk x hazanshu):

cl.mp x legs combos, comboable from c.lp and gives untechable knockdown, doesn’t cost meter:

The EX Kikoken combos seem like their only real use is to build up stun - all of the combos you showed require full Super meter, so in almost every one of those cases I personally feel like landing Super makes more sense.
Those cl.MP xx Legs combos, on the other hand, are pretty sick.
There’s a “cheap” way of doing it, atleast it’s practical after c.lp or jumpins.
You hit mp+lk with your left hand, then drum hk~mk~lk, hk with your right hand.
I abandoned the practice of doing it this way pretty fast and I’m now starting to get some consistency in doing it the way I piano everything else.
i’ve been practicing this over the last few days. is it a good idea to just automatically hit lk whenever i’m poking with st. mp just in case i want to cancel out into a form of legs?
Hey guys, I know this has probably been discussed thoroughly but I have a question about doing cr.hp to legs. I’ve tried using the search bar to look it up but I haven’t found anything yet. I was wondering on how to get the full hits from the legs after cr.hp. I can get the full hits from the first set of legs but once it goes to the second set of legs I cant seem to get the full hits in so that when I go into the cr.hp legs loop the second time I cant really do much after it. Does anyone happen to know how to solve my dilemma? Thanks!
you need to cancel the HK legs into MK the second set of legs needs to be MK… I think that’s what you’re asking right? Then the cr.fierce cancel into legs second time round will work
So the first set of legs is HK and the second one is MK ?
I have been trying the c.hp xx legs but I have been doing both sets as MK. Is it possible to do the second c.hp xx legs that way ?
OMGGGG TY SOOO MUCH Wii Wh1ppet!!! I was so confused on how to do it because I was doing MK legs for both of the sets. I didn’t really like the whole sliding technique that people use so I was trying to figure out a way to piano it to make my execution of it to 100%. Most of the bnb combos I do with her is either with double tapping or piano’ing and it seems with those techniques my execution is at 100%. seriously ty soooo much for the info. I’m going to enter this tourney this weekend and was trying to think of an alt to play, it was either going to be gouken, chun, or rose and with this new found info I think I know who im going to play ty soooo much!!!
It’s been posted before, but inputting a half circle from back to forward after dashing will give you the correct timing for dash ultra. Once you’ve hit that a few times in training, use that timing to input the dash ultra regularly. The timing is actually pretty easy to grasp, and you’ve got a decent enough Chun that Im sure you’ll get it down.
From 2p side there is only player specific limitations, ie. I actually feel I play better from 2p side. Just gotta spend time in the dojo practicing from both sides man!
Off topic: I’ve been offline for what seems like an eternity, but I should be back next week at the latest. This goes out to everyone, but to Bahn especially, hit me up for games if you see me on! Been a minute sir!
