Found a bug with Chun.
You can do cr.lp chained into close standing light punch canceled into hasanshu.
This should not be possible, as you cannot cancel chained moves.

you are probably getting a delayed hasan shu due to negative edge… those are the results that i came up with in training mode.
when you test this again, make sure you hold the button down for at least 2 secs… i can almost guarantee that if you are doing the cancel fast enough it wont come out… if you slightly delay your button press though, the hasan shu will come out… but its not being canceled in that instance.

or you are delaying the st.lp, thus linking it and that also makes the hasan shu cancelable

Ok, I just saw the CPU do this to me: FA Crumple> LK Legs (I think)> EX Legs, and it comboed, registering 12 hits after I landed from EX legs. Is this already known?

I tried holding the button, still came out, not negative edge.
Also, close standing light punch has a longer recovery than the others, so it wouldn’t make sense.
It’s being canceled for sure, the question is whether I’m linking the cr.jab to the close standing jab. The problem with this theory is that if I use the same timing for cr.jab, cr.jab xx hasanshu I can’t because they’re chained, where as I can do cr.jab, cl.st.jab at a much faster pace and still cancel the hasanshu.

c.lp is +6 on hit so you just have to link it and then cancel into hazanshu, nothing weird about it.
I do it all the time as a blockstring.
I’ve been practicing to get consistent with c.hp x hk legs, mk legs, c.hp x hk legs, mk legs, c.hk so I found some other stuff as well while working that out.
And yeah, don’t even ask me how the combo is coming along, my hands are pretty much dead atm because of the piano needed.
c.hp~mk+hp, hk~mk~lk, hk - and you have to do it twice, with 2f timing lol.
I found that you can do c.hp x hk legs, mk legs, c.hp x ex sbk, dash, ultra looks pretty damn neat and is probably useful because you can land the ultra from further away than usual.

i retested it and had weird results… so i decided to use cr.lk chained into another attack instead, since the chain timing is much faster than the link timing.
and i was able to cancel hasan shu from cr.lk > close st.lk
and also was able to cancel cr.lk > close st.lp hasan shu as well as
cr.lk > close st.lk > super.
so nice find :tup:
now to find a use for this…

Okay that’s cool then, well an obvious use would be c.lk, st.lk x lk hazanshu to break someones guard because hazanshu is tricky blocking from st.lk for some reason.

from further testing it seems that the rule for chun atleast is that she can cancel from chained CLOSE STANDING weak attacks…
i really dont think this is a bug or glitch… seems intended.
also i have a suspicion that if chun can do this all other characters that have normally cancelable close standing weak attacks will be able to cancel them from chains as well…

i tested akuma, guile and ryu… 2 shotos, and 1 charge character.

Honestly it just happened when I was doing cr.jab x 2 into hasanshu, but I did the HSU motion too early. The standing jab came out fast and it canceled and I was like “wtf and shit”.
Seems like a way to HSU faster than usually. I like how it looks too.
any poke string that uses standing moves looks pro…

its a spacing issue, I use: j hp x 2, c lp, c lk~mk, c lk~mk, ex legs. Works like a charm for me. Unless I’m mistaken (which is possible…) it works on Blanka as well.
I get electrified out of cr. lk cr.lp cr. lk ex legs alll the time on hit-confirm, if Blanka is crouching. The timing for cr. mk ex legs is annoying, but it works on him. :<
I like this combo on E Honda. j. lk - cr. jab - st. cl. mp - mk sbk. hit-confirmable and does a lot of damage in cross-up situations for no meter.

There’s no reason to get the whiff glitch against Dictator since your confirm combo should ALWAYS be c.lk, c.lp, c.mk x ex legs, or if you’re feelin’ it c.lp, cl.hk x ex legs.
