anyone else be able to support?

I’ve got an xbox I can bring. So count me in for a system. Also ignite location is great for me about 5 minutes from my place. I hope stuff works out a this place. If it does and has a good Internet connection we should stream stuff set up like a Midwest Mondays or something get some arcane hearts/mvc3 and ae streamed.

I’ll be there tonight. Mondays would work great for me in general. I might be able to do Wednesdays, but that’s contingent on me being able to reschedule a prior weekly commitment.

So, Does anyone have interest in Southside gatherings at Collect A Card N Comics?
The location for Northside gatherings is going to be Ignite Network. I really liked the Venue there and they offer parking.
MTGCHICAGO never got back to me. I went to look at the place as well as talk to the person who would be in charge while the owner was away and he wasn’t there. No biggie. Like I said, Ignite is the better venue.
SO ONCE AGAIN!!! DOES ANYONE HAVE INTEREST IN GOING TO ANY SOUTHSIDE GATHERINGS? ARE THERE ANY SOUTHSIDERS IN THE CHICAGO THREAD?I HAVE A MEETING WITH THE OWNER OF COLLECT A CARD N COMICS LATER TODAY. IF THERE IS NO INTEREST, SPEAK NOW SO BOTH JIMMY AND I WON’T WASTE OUR TIME!!!
I can cancel this meeting, avoid driving and holding up this person’s time.

thanks for stepping up guys. we might not need as many tonight, but we also don’t know how many people will show up exactly. more is better than less though.

my goal for tonight is just to gauge logistics, and see how things work out for all of us, then make adjustments accordingly. really the next few weeks is more of a test run, so if anything doesn’t sit well, i encourage you to be vocal about it, so we can adapt.

South Side is boootay for comp, I wouldn’t even bother Arturo, they had more then enough time to reply and they didn’t. That’s enough to shows you that they aren’t even dedicated enough to write one sentence that they will support. Just try to get the Northside thing going for now I guess.

Also Nives it was on short notice I think your next weeks showing will be bigger.

and general rule of thumb for at least myself when I read forums, I see all caps, I shut off my brain and don’t read.

As I live in Joliet and travel to work South vs. North side gatherings don’t seem to be much different for me. I’ll come out either way if gatherings aren’t on a Tues/Thurs as I have previous commitments those days.

i posted a few pages back that i was down with attending the southside gatherings more so than the northside. both the southside and northside locations are about the same distance away, but the southside location is more convenient since i wont hit that loop traffic when it splits off to the west burbs and turns into a cluster fuck for 20 minutes. but if im the only one showing interest, fuck it…was just trying to save myself a half hour of traffic.

So Nives, I might be able to bring my PS3 tonight. I forgot to pick up my stick on my way out today, so I figure I’ll just take the train home, pick up my stick and PS3 and come out. I’d get there at around 7:30/7:45ish. That’s contingent on me having access to the car though - wife might be going out to her parents’, but I don’t think so. Will update when I know for sure.

So that is 6-7 setups. no problems iwill773, i am glad you can come out.

A few ground rules:

(1) Raging: if you throw your controller, if you physically harm anyone, then you are permanently done, and are not welcomed back. zero tolerance. if you angrily get up and throw a tantrum at someone because of the game, you are warned, and if you don’t keep yourself in check, you are done for the day.

(2) Precautions Regarding Consoles: i very very very much appreciate people bringing consoles, and i don’t want them or any other part of their system to get stolen. as there are a lot of new people, trust is something built with time. so please put your names on your consoles, and do not remove them unless you notify me. if someone is walking around with a console and tells me it is their console they brought and they are taking it back, i don’t necessarily know for sure they are being legit, so i will make them put it back until someone confirms it. i also want to do bag checks, so after you bring your stuff over, there will be an area for people to put their bags and stuff. this is to prevent stuff from getting snuck out.

(3) Stealing: You are permanently done.

(4) Ignite Network Rules: All other rules for Ignite Network applies, and we will be doing what we can to enforce it.

(5) Regarding Fun: Have fun, if you do not have fun, you will be forced to have fun.

@footmeetsskull - appreciate your help. if you can bring a console, awesome, and if you can’t its more important to me that you make it out to play and meet people.
