I’d be way interested in something happening at MTG Chicago, I’m just down the street from there, and I recently passed by Ignite and saw an MVC3 poster on their wall and got curious about that too.
Just thought I’d remind everybody about the tournament at Tracks Tavern in Milwaukee next weekend. Looking forward to seeing some of you again Tournament thread is here.

Place was rather dead last Friday, not worth the $15 bucks for me unless there is some comp. I am guessing Saturdays are better? I was under the impression that it was packed every Friday / Saturday. And if it isn’t packed all the time…why are we not just playing there? Why cant they make $10 game room only nights so we can bring our own setups. I am more then willing to bet that some will just pay the $15 so they can play the arcade games as well…argh GGA pisses me off to no end, they are the worst at taking advice sometimes as ive mentioned this to them countless times :(. Maybe others need to mention it to them as well so they know we are serious. GGA still has the best location, everyone should call them and ask them about setting up casual game room only nights for us for $10 on Saturdays. Maybe then it will stick a little better…also why are they STILL not posting there tournaments in the tournament and events thread? I guess I get so annoyed cause I like the arcade so much and somehow we are still not playing there on a regular basis.
Edit: Also they got rid of the food table area and put more fighters there so the place is definitely looking good with the selection they have. If you have not gone you should go check it out someday.
Should I feel guilty for enjoying playing as Yun?

Yun has good tools. If you enjoy using Yun and have the mental fortitude to win with him, why wouldn’t you?
Winning with Yun still requires some semblance of video game competency. LOLDIVEKICK isn’t going to save anyone’s arse if they have piss-poor fundamentals to begin with.
I’ve been conservative with my use of dive kicks and have been focusing on my ground game for that very reason

I’ve been around for a long time (originally a MvC2, a.k.a. “The Good Marvel,” player)…I haven’t been playing much lately, but when I do, I’m usually playing AE. I don’t really play MvC3, but I’ll play it if it’s around. Or, if someone’s playing something good, I’d rather play that :lol:.
I’m not that good, but I’ve been around long enough to where I’ve probably experienced anything you new guys are or will be hitting soon. So if you got any questions…ask. However, I don’t wanna sound like an asshole, but if you ask for and get advice…please listen and at least attempt to apply it. It’s hella discouraging to give advice and not be listened to.
Damn I need to get my joytokey working so i can hit the lab with kofxiii, those combos ive been seeing look fun to do. If there is a gathering this weekend somewhere ill bring my laptop(runs it full speed) so we can get some games in it.

what are you having trouble with in Joy2key?
the most common problem is remembering to go to the options tab and checkmarking the “set pov hat” switch on, if that’s the type of controller or stick you have, and then setting the POV1:up etc to the joystick or dpad

How many people from the Northside would attend a gathering in the northside? If it were twice a week would you attend both days? Would northsiders attend any southside gatherings if they are being held @ Collect A Card N Comics on a consistent basis?
SOUTHSIDERS(ALL OF YOU!!!) How many of you would attend a Southside gathering IF it were held @ Collect A Card N Comics? If it were twice a week, would you attend both days? Would YOU southsiders attend any Northside gatherings (undetermined at this time) on a consistant basis?
What I would like to do is this:
I would like to have both a southside and northside location!!! Host once a week in the Southside and once a week in the northside!! Hows that sound!!!(if people want twice a week for each location, thats awesome too!!!)
We would do ranbats on a weekly basis and once a month throw a big tournament alternating between the southside venue and the northside venue!!! That way both venues get 6 tournaments a year!! Maybe we could have a Northside vs Southside vs Suburbs!!! I’m Down!!!
If one of the venues isn’t pulling its weight, I will get fazed out!!! So don’t let that happen!!!

Well there you have City people, better start voicing or keep getting carried by the burbs. HAHA I Played the exact same deck, Toise/GaTr 4LIFE! Raped tournys here and there, Played Water all throughout my “poke career” all the way till the 4th expansion of Dimond and Pearl. Im too Stubborn to play any other element lol.
ANYways Where is MTG Chicago? ANYTHING on the northside im down to travel to at ANYTIME. Work premitting of course. Collect-A-Card I can get to as well seeing as i 've had no problem traveling there in the past.

As a Fellow Southsider (burbs) i’m down with whatever as long as i get to play ya know. I’m open to give rides as long as the gas money flows. I have no problem going to Deads as i try to make it out there 3 out of 4 times a month. So i’ll follow the topic and if this goes through maybe some people on the south side (Suburbs mostly) can let me know what’s up. Kinda hype for the potential stream, maybe i could commentate 
Edit- might as well answer the questions in the huge bold print.
-I’d go to any gatherings and i got 2 people who i know is down to play Fighting games, i got more friends but they arent dedicated they are the type that is ok with getting bodied by a scrub like me 
-If it was twice a week i’d try to make it but that’s all just based on scheduling, but the best day for me is Tuesday, weds and Thursday with the weekend being situational.
-I’d be down to attend Northside gathering just depends on gas and how far north.
