Right now I’m playing SSFIV.
I’d like to learn 3rd strike (when it comes out), and have been heavily considering MvC3.
I have a car, a Metra, and a CTA pass.
I play as PaperKoi on Xbox… Or I will as soon as I get the googles installed in my apartment again.

Where have you gone in ATL? It seems like you’ve gone to Kroger’s. Go out to the Coke Factory in ATL. they have a lot of stuff there. Go there even if its just to look around. They have a good movie theater there in that strip.
There are also a few bars around the area you should check out. Its ok. Its better to go downtown than to stay in suburbia bro. I feel your pain. I bet no one is your age group. Thats what happened to me when i went there. Bored out of my mind. No one wanted to do shit. Hows the homework? You’ll breeze right through that.
Hit up the fighting game scene. I should have done that when i was there. I know CEA hook it up with some dough. Just go check it out.

There is this other girl at the front desk i talked to alot but i forgot her name. She is cool too. They can fill you in on things to do in ATL.

Thanks for the greets. Anything ever going down on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun? Tuesday and Thursday tend to be poor choices for me… I’m going to figure something out tho. This getting slaughtered nonsense doesn’t fit well with being hungry (can’t wait for the frustration when I get into MvC).

It sounds good. The event link on the website also states they have unlimited play from 8pm till 2am (Monday- Thursday) for 15 dollars. I’m down. I would be there eariler.

Id be down, whats the setup there like? everything looked huge and laggy last time i peeked in.
didn’t actually get to play there, the facility doesnt look bad, but they connect all their game systems with like 50 yard cables or some crap like that (so they can keep the ps3’s by the counter and avoid possible theft).
anyhow, they told me they would set something up for us if we give them a headsup, and also cut a special discount if enough people came.
yeah I’m not sure how setting up nonlaggy games would work there. tho haven’t been there in a while, so not sure if they changed anything.
I think it would be a great location for regular meetups in the city. I emailed them a while ago and it was a little pricey and they diddn’t seem to have lagless setups. They seem to cater more to the pc/rockband/fps crowd (dont you want lagless for rockband etc too?, i dunno). Maybe they’ll let us hdmi into the starcraft monitors or something. Not sure if they have AE either.
It wouldn’t be a bad location for games. They may lag, they might not. Maybe the lag won’t be bad. We won’t know till we go and try it out. Lets try it out and see what happens. Nothing else is going on that day anyway.
As for AE, I dont think they have any sf game. I looked the game listing on the website. They don’t seem to have it. I think we would need to provide the system with the downloaded AE copy on it.
If it doesn’t work out, we could always look at card shops or hobby shops to see if we could set something up.
So you guys basically just pick times and locations, show up, and throw down? You’ll have to excuse me… new to the scene in general and the Chicago/Burbs scene specifically.
