and why don’t we use the blanka sfxt thread?

It’ll be the overhead version but I’m still willing to bet many dorrar that it only works on standing opponents. Just like most SF overheads.

It also looks like we have a none rapid fire jab.

A guy from a brazilian FG forum (PortalVersus) said that the hori ball causes a KD from anywhere, wich makes more sense in this game.

He also said that Elec seems to come out with less inputs (maybe 4 punches)

I was testing slide from LP in SFxT and got the LP > MP chain everytime (the HP was being inputted too fast, so the chain always ended in MP).

KD from anywhere…that makes me wonder why they would do such a buff.

edit: probably because KD’s are nerfed in this game with the wakeup roll, making his oki weaker.

my spider sense tells me that elec is now gonna have to be inputted with lp, fp, mp, (select strength with fourth input)

My other friend, he was able to play blanka in california, and he says the elec range is really nerfed, doesnt go very far from blanka at all. He didnt say if blanka could do walking elec strings, but it doesnt sound hopeful.

I saw in a video, that the blanka ball they used was REALLY punishable on block…not sure the differences between lp, mp, fp, ex. The ball i saw blocked literally put blanka right next to the opponent…it was baaadddd

who cares how punishable the ball is on block? as long as it kd on hit it is fine!
and who knows? move looks like it causes a lot of blockstun and might be able to get safely switch-canceled

I still think nerfed normals are gonna hurt him a lot, footsies are huge in this game and he has great damage on his in SF4 so all those little nerfs will add up unless they make them all plus or safe on block.
Either way it will be a very different Blanka.
Nobody bothered to go and vote up that request I made over on unity suggestion box.

It’s funny other people ask me how to tell them how to play. I think being open to what other people are saying and being able to give other people advice is the most important part of growing as a player.

If I had ignored a couple of players telling me what I was doing wrong I wouldn’t have the same skill level that I do now.

Advice and growing as a player isnt the meaning, its geared toward the haters that tell you not to throw or do this or that, usually because they are salty. If you are having fun with the game then you are ahead of those guys. But heck yea, helpful advice is always a good thing. Thats part of the reason we all post and read here at SRK.

yea, i just realized that about 2 seconds ago before I got here…
I think walking elec might be out of the picture.

But for all we know, elec is not even very + on block anymore.

SFxT is broken, I’ll wait until a patch to play again and decide if I want to sell it. Unfortunately it’s also messed up my sf4 game. Sf4 is a lot more fun in my opinion.

It may be the salt talking, but I think SSFIV is miles ahead of SFxT.

It’s kinda like MvC3 for me, a nice game to watch, but one that I don’t like to play at all.

Just seeing Hugo playing in SFxT makes me wanna cry… 60% damage without meter, that’s just great!

i like sfxt because i dont have to worry about teching throw breaks as much. The game has the potential to be very footsie oriented, and for the most part it is except for some rough edged…and i use that word…roughly.

Besides, kuma is fucking awesome.
