j.hk can cross-up against certain fat chars. It’s super easy vs Boxer. j.hp cross-up is used after b.throw, dash. Only works on certain chars though.

If you do the j.hp late it will hit in front, but then you might as well use j.hk because it does more damage.
Who all does b.throw dash j.hk work on as crossup? I think I seen someone(maybe it was you) use it in an akuma video quite a bit(vs tokido).
You can do unblockable j.hk after b.throw, dash vs Rufus, Boxer and Gouken, but it also crosses vs Dictator and Cody. Maybe a few others as well. Test it out int training mode.
Damn no wonder I was only getting it to work like 20% of the time against Ryu. That was hard. I also couldn’t get j. hk to crossup vs. Ryu.
I was working on setups but it was impossible to try it out consistently without a partner. I think throw, backdash, forward hop, j. mk causes Ryu’s DP to whiff, but I think delayed autocorrect will beat it free.
After a f.throw, take a slight step forward then do j.mk. It’s impossible for Ryu to DP this if done correctly because it’s a (high) meaty x-up, so if he DPs it whiffs or it gets stuffed, and because it’s meaty he can’t delay it to get the auto-correct DP. Timing takes a bit of getting used to, but even if you don’t get the timing 100%, it’s still very hard for Ryu to auto-correct the j.mk cos there’s only like a 1 or 2f window. It’s worth learning the timing though.
Yeah, I’ll probably be using it 90% of the time, but I just want different options that are much easier to do (you can mash on backdash and forward hop to get timing close to frame perfect, but there’s no reference for this setup).
Question: Is there any mixup with this setup? It seems like it’s crossup only?
There’s not a lot of mixup potential but it allows you to continue pressure, which in turn allows for more mixups. If you want a ghetto mixup after f.throw you can use f.throw, mp rainbow ball. After that, electricity will beat throws, throws will beat blocking, immediately x-up j.mk will beat DPs or make them whiff. If you use hk rainbow you’ll land outside Ryu’s FADC range so if you block the DP you can land a full punish. You can also use similar shenanigans after f.throw, mk v ball. Ryu has ways to beat these shenanigans though, but it’s useful to use once in a while. I abuse it online cos hardly anyone knows how to counter it lol.
The problem with hop mixups that make reversals whiff is that they can to delayed jabs and crouch tech, which is actually worse than eating the reversal because it can be hit-confirmed into a bigger combo.
Yeah I have my own ghetto setup after forward throw (walk back a step or two into any of the rainbow rolls: light whiffs in front for throw/electricity, heavy crosses up or whiffs behind, medium is ambiguous and if timed right can safejump a lot of stuff).
Ex elec after late xup mk, stuffs or on block causes five chips. Startup is easy meaty for four a least.

Guys from your experience and point of view, what is the top five of Blanka’s worst matchups in AE ? Just to know different opinions.

Honda, Balrog, Seth, Fei, Bison?
Seth is more of a theory thing since I don’t have access to an amazing Seth. Honda is the only matchup that I’d rather not play.
Honda is annoying but you can do lots of things on his wakeup. You can also out poke him and stop him from neutral jumping. I don’t think that matchup is one of his worst.
