Always worked for me with j.hk, cr.lk x 2, U1. Fore, then thumb. Keeps your hand straighter.

So… when I watch Choco play, she always does forward throw, walk forward j. mk. I almost never see her get DP’d when she does this. Is there a reason why?
It’s very tricky to AA this. Do it too early and it’ll get stuffed or it will whiff (slide punish). Too late and you’ll get hit while you’re crouching. Even top Ryu players don’t go for DPs in this situation.
Very strange. I need to learn this set-up. I always get auto-correct DP’d when trying something like this. Anything in particular I need to know or is it pretty much exactly as it looks?
jump fierce is better because of the additional damage/stun/hitstop/metergain.
I do f.throw, whiff lp ball, j.hp
More damage, more ambiguous, and more meter gain.
I assume just as “safe”?
Online these things are more hard to dp so abuse of this lol.
safer, blanka’s hittable box is even smaller. It’s hard to learn to crossup jump fierce though.
you literally can’t dp the setup if you do it correctly.
I was with a friend who played Ryu, and i do on him a lot this setup (forward throw, bit backwalk, jump HP), it was break his dp a lot of time, his reaction was funny : “lag, fuckin online i hate that you see etc”
