hmmmm… i was wanting to go to this tourny… to meet some more srk folks… but its just too gloomy for me to get motivated…

I want to apologize to anyone who expected to see me at the tourny. I went to bed at 6am, which was really no problem. I woke up at 1030 feeling pretty good and put my phone on vibrate since I figured I’d be up for the tourny no problem. I then laid back down to take a nap and ended up sleeping right through my noon alarm (I was told the tourny was at 1, that’s why I set it for noon). Unfortunately, since I put my phone on vibrate, I missed around 36 calls from Josh to wake me up. I feel terrible about it because I really wanted to go and get games in with everyone, and I was looking forward to meeting Summerville Paul as well as beating Josh (cause he’s my best friend <3<3)
Unfortunately I ruined that chance, and now I’ll have to make doubly sure I’m at the play and trade tournament. I feel like I let everyone down, and it was my own over confidence that led me to do it, if I had just kept my phone off vibrate josh’s phone calls would have woken me up and I’d have been fine. I have a bad habit of removing the friends ability to call and remind me of shit by silencing my phone, and I know it’s frustrating to call me and not get through simply because I don’t realize my phone is ringing. I’ll try to make a conscious effort to fix this and once again, sorry for anyone who was looking forward to seeing me at the tournament.

Tourney was fun. Me and Josh took 1st and 2nd respectively. There was a decent turnout with some cool people and some people who actually didn’t play Ryu or Ken.
Good stuff.
Me and Josh are going to have to have an official rematch soon, too. He could’ve had 1st if there was another stick.
Me, you, and Josh or anyone else who wants to play should do something this week before the PnT tourney since you couldn’t make it out to the one today.
Josh and I are gonna meet up on Wednesday to get some games in, probably with Duffey. You’re more than welcome to join us.

i got a lot of attention when mentioning the first charleston sf4 ps3 possible tourny next weekend. We should see at least a handful of the guys that were there at the W.Ashley PnT tourney.
GGs mang. Thanks a ton for letting me use your stick. I wouldn’t have been able to meet you in the finals otherwise. I don’t know if I’d have gotten first. I play Rufus on pad just as I can on stick (OMG j.hk ULTRA ULTRA ULTRA ULTRA… oh wait… no Revenge? EX SNAKE STRIKEEEEE). I <3 seeing more Abel’s. I like picking up tips and tricks from other Abel players to incorporate.
Only thing I regret about the tournament is that I didn’t really get to do any cool stuff to show off aside from Rekka xx FADC, c.hp, Ultra once. I didn’t want to get hit by random SPD/DP with only 1 game and single elim, so I pretty much just knocked people down and waited for the wake up Shoryuken to punish T_T. We had 32 people there after all was said and done.
Congratz again Ryan on 2nd. I wouldn’t have gotten that far on pad. You’ll place top 3 no problem next time Kevin.

Good games to Str0ngStyle last night, it was definitely nice to play against you. Deathproof, sorry things keep getting between me and you playing (i was lagging like a mofo last night) but we’ll definitely get games in. Don’t beat me too bad like Paul did (Damn your abel!)
Josh and I are getting up on Wednesday to get some games in, hopefully with our buddy Duffey at his place, but barring that my house is definitely a go. I have 1 TE stick I am ok with sharing, if anyone else wants to bring a stick too. Sorry duders, it’s xbox only

I use it as an alternate option to get in close without jumping. It isn’t very practical since you can get seriously punished for doing it I use it to scare the hell outta scrubs
PnT is on a Saturday. Sign up starts @ 11am, tournament starts @ 12pm.
Josiah: Focusing a fireball builds Revenge meter. Be careful because you take the damage even though you regenerate it. If you eat a hit, all that life you were regenerating is lost.
Josh is on the money there. I’ve seen Chris FADC a fireball, jump in hk, crouching hk with boxer (he should be comboing into headbutt), but he STILL hadn’t recovered all his health by the time Ryu got up.
