I saw that nice anti air game. I was there but I got knocked out early due it being one of my first fighting game tournaments. I had a decent fight against Ryu with Cammy near the end. Anyway I have the number of a lot of the guys from that tournament. We went back and played some SF 4 at my house, anyway
does anyone here have an affordable stick up for grabs?
Paul: It’s a joke man, I’m not calling you dumb
Hey man, tell them about the tournament in West Ashley this weekend. Sign ups @ 11am, tournament starts @ 12pm. PS3 & 360 will be used. Bring your own controllers. CoD: World at War will be going on as well.
Oh, and while I’m at it: 99 second rounds, 3/5 rounds, double elimination, 2/3 matches. Winners/losers finals are 3/5 matches. Grand finals 4/7. 3P & 3K are the only button macros allowed (no throw/focus/taunt buttons). Loser of a match can change characters, winner has to keep the same one. All button configuration needs to be done BEFORE choosing a character. Pausing the game results in automatic forfeit of the round. The second time results in forfeit of a match (even if it’s a different opponent). Third and any other consecutive times is an automatic forfeit of the entire set.
Who can bring systems + copies? I’ll bring my PS3 + SFIV. We have a total of 8 stations at the least, potentially 9. I don’t think WA PnT has any PS3s on hand.
$5 for one game, $7 for both. As of right now PnT will supply prizes but we might look into making this a cash payout tournament.
As of right now, it IS possible that the tournament entry fee might change as well as Call of Duty might be moved back to a later date. It really depends on how many people show. Because of the large turn out being expected, it is a possibility that the tournament be $7 in order for cash payout. $2 would go to the store, then $5 into a pot which would be a 70/20/10 split. It’s kind of up in the air right now. I’ll talk to Critty tomorrow about it.
Does anyone know how to make a good fried rice? I only have eggs and rice but I’ve never made it before. Do I scramble the eggs seperate and then add them into the rice? Do I cook the rice, and then fry it? Should I use butter or olive oil? I could look this up online I guess…
It’ll take you all of 5 minutes to do. Please make sure you do so, that way I can get an estimate on how many drinks and pizzas I need to buy for Saturday.
I am not registering on that website, as every time I’ve tried it messes up on me. So you’re just gonna have to deal with me going to the tourny unannounced.
As you’re sitting there, reading this post on your computer…I know that it sucks to have to learn a new game, its a big hassle, and it sucks even worse if you don’t think the new game is that good.
But, speaking to you as a person, who likes to play against human opponents, I don’t know if you can just…stop…and imagine a time in the future, where you’re playing the new game with people, and then you can look back on all that hard training and tell yourself, “It was worth it”.
I wish I liked SFIV. It’s mostly the animation and art style, really. Gameplay-wise I would play it. But even then I don’t think it’s as fun as 3S’ or CVS2’s.
I don’t think may ppl care about 3rd suck… I mean 3rd strike anymore. When it was in the arcade it got a little attention. even when I was in Houston where their gaming scene was booming it got only minimal attention compared to the hords of ppl surrounding the SFIV,T6, and Blazblue machines.
don’t get me wrong I love kickin it old school with some cvs2 or ggxx:ac epic Potemkin vs. Faust battles but as fighting gamers we gotttttta keep up with the times:nunchuck:
