Well he’s still high tier, just the bottom of high tier, it isn’t like we consider him garbage or something. And who within the top or high tier do you consider Fox better than for him to be moved up?
Sheik vs Marth matchup is stage dependant. Stages with edges give Sheik novel approaches and escape routes(Think Corneria) . They also aid in quick edgeguards against marth. Walk-off stages have none of these options so Sheik is forced to actually KO and with her limited knockback moves it’s very hard(Bridge of Eldrin is basically her worst stage).
Overall Sheik has a better fight against Marth than Zelda.
Ganon’s dair>snake’s cypher, therefore Ganon>Snake
^ Hell ANY Spike fucks over Snake’s Cypher
Snake’s cypher has super armor on beginning. I guess I just haven’t seen any other spike go through it.
I don’t think very many people know about this yet, but smashboards will go apeshit when they find out:
Yeah Gannon also can’t take a Bair spamming or Pivot Throws.
King K. Rool with white color palette?
Oh sweet, it’s the moon from Majora’s Mask.
Dsmash fairly punishable if you have a far reaching tilt or fast/long grab. Fsmash is pretty safe on block due to it’s range and pushback. Never had it punished on block that I recall.
>B is beast. It’s great for punishing rolls/whiffs, it’s free after blocking some moves (Ike >B anyone?), it rapes shield, it can be used offstage as a spike, which works nicely because of the momentum slow down and pullback. Hitting >B above 30% is basically a free Dsmash. Hitting it after 70% is a free kill on lighter characters with a slightly charged Dsmash. After 100% you get free Fsmash. It is slow as shit and short ranged (well, at least shorter than about all of DK’s other attacks), but it has a lot of use in his game.
If it didn’t free-fall it would be pretty fucked up for edge/airguarding. Jump out giant punch would kill pretty early.
Yeah. Pretty sure all spikes pwn the Cypher.
At that point, it’s really time to just grow a beard.
Dear lord did he fall in a pit of acid or something?
Pit of oatmeal cookie dough.
p.s. a whole lot of casuals think dedede sucks.

Zelda
Diddy Kong
Game & Watch
Zero Suit Samus
Lucas
Olimar
Luigi
Fox
i actually think fox does reasonably well against everyone in high tier. the early vert kills are a huge advantage. he also does well against metaknight. how you have pikachu that high and fox that low is beyond me.
Honestly Fox either goes 5/5 or 4/6 against all the characters in top/high tier, he deserves were he’s placed. And you apparently also need to study on Pika, he’s mad buff now.
I’d probably put Olimar higher than you have him, for a couple reasons:
-
Mostly good matchups within High Tier (Lucas and G&W, for example), and from what I’ve seen (could be wrong) a good matchup against Snake;
-
Smashes and UAir have good killing potential;
-
Grabs and aerials make for a good harassment game with his Side-B. Longest standing grab in the game = dash shield grab = fun;
-
I remember a character, way back when, that had great on-stage power and gimpable recovery. That character was SSB1 Ness.
If I’m wrong, feel free to tell me so.
to be honest i don’t think pikachu should be in the high tier at all, i don’t see what qualifies him to be the 7th best character… and fox should be above luigi, olimar at very least.
Fox is the third lightest character in the game. Luigi can KO him with a simple jab > Up B combo at 60%. Pikachu’s thunder has been massively buffed and his D Smash has more priority than Fox’s moves.
Edit: Olimar has disjointed hitboxes on his moves so that really doesn’t work in Fox’s favor.
Pikachu’s down smash is killer. Great range, lasts forever, sucks you in. Tonight I traded max-range Rob dtilt with it, and it kept going, sucked me, and launched the crap out of me.
